Korean Food

@meokjasg is a Muslim-owned establishment serving Korean Chinese food in @gridsingapore. We ordered quite a bit there and had jjajangmyeon, jjampong, bibim guksu (cold noodles), tangsuyuk and kimbap! my favourite dish was the bibim guksu because it was cold spicy and refreshing at the same time. Overall, the food was rather decent but it didn't really live up to the hype perhaps because they're a relatively new establishment and recently scaled up their operations from a home based business. The prices are affordable though so I think it's still worth a try! ☺️

Had good kbbq and soy marinated crab at @thegogijip recently! Good here is generally good though the meats are pricey but the quality's better than what you usually get 🤤

Beef Cha-ppong from @nipongnaepongsg is always so comforting and I especially like how there's a beef option for when I don't feel like eating seafood plus you get to choose the spicy level too! 😋

Craving for some comforting soondubu from @sbcdsingapore on a cold day like this. Had my soup with a hot stone bibimbap and enjoyed it a lot more as the rice turned crispy 😋😋

@wonderfulbapsang is a Korean restaurant tucked inside the back of a Korean mart in @sunteccity. Had a kimchi fried rice with cheese on a hotplate and it was pretty good though a bit too salty because of the cheese. One of the things I didn't like about this place was how the staff can be a bit rude at times, but other than that the food is pretty good and they give a variety of side dishes too 😋

The boiled pork belly gave us a pleasant surprise with its super tender meat and we enjoyed this a lot. I hope to return for dinner to try the Jeju style kbbq! 🤤

I've read about how others described the Milyang-style Pork and Rice Soup to be similar to tonkotsu but sadly it was a very strong pork flavour which was different from tonkotsu and I didn't like it.

Finally tried @umyongbaek_sg which has been featured a lot on social media. We queued online and got a seat immediately upon arrival which was great hehe. They serve gukbap for lunch and we had the Busan-style Pork and Rice Soup which was flavourful though it doesn't look like it and I preferred this out of the two options they have.

@hyangyeon_kfood's set lunches are value for money and yummy too! I had a kongguksu and added chicken to my set for an additional $3! The servings were generous and the kongguksu was refreshing on a hot day too! Can't wait to try the other items when I can come back

the twigim tofu sticks make a good snack and I would have enjoyed it more if it was seasoned a bit more because they didn't stand out much.

@amiaddicted.sg has both a ceramics studio and a Korean vegetarian cafe situated at @capitolsingapore. We went there for a meal and had their bibimbap, kimchi grilled cheese sandwich, twigim tofu sticks and mojito. I'm a person who really likes meat but I enjoyed our meal here very much. The bibimbap has fresh ingredients and fragrant sesame oil that added to its flavours. What made it stand out was how they used barley grains instead of white rice too.
The place has a nice quiet ambience and the service was good too! Can't wait to see what else they will have on their menu in the future! 🤗

Grilled meat and naengmyeon is always a good idea 😍😍 I liked how @charim.sg offers grilled sides and a good number of side dishes as well. The meat was tender and the steamed egg was tasty too 😋
