Cafes In Bangsar
Cafe that nestled in Bangsar Village II, apparently it is just located in front of the escalator so it's not hard to be found. Berry Bliss (RM21) blended blueberries, strawberries and banana, topped with chia seeds, sliced bananas, and an assortment of berries. I think it's pretty good compare to others, and the portion is just good enough for a meal. However, a bit disappointed with the service crew as been waiting for quite long for the food and coffee is missed out from the order.
Although Breakfast Thieves had been opened for business for almost a year but still the hype is still there. If you are lucky enough like me, you won't have trouble to queue for seats at weekends morning. My French Lady (RM25) still the top of my list. It is not really look like this if you aware my previous post on BT because they might have some arrangement on its appearance, still it is still delicious like it should be. French toast is even better when you consume with the jam that served along. Cappucino (RM11) a little bit of expensive compare to the others. If you prefer a good one, maybe you can get a decent coffee that next to it š
DR Inc. always came out with special kind of drinks like mixture of a tall glass of coke with a shot of espresso. Fat Americano (RM14) taste sweeter than Presso Bomb, another signature drink in shop. Still think that Presso Bomb is better than this. Maybe is because I'm not a fans of coke and would prefer ice cream soda. But can't denied, it is still a good place to chill.
Another hype restaurant that located at the same area with Pulp by Papa Paletha and Breakfast Thieves. Guess all the cafes and restaurant around that area are serving good food with unique interior design. Their Tom Yum Udon (RM28) is one of my favourite, Udon served with fish noodles, prawns, squids, mushrooms and eggs, it's actually well blend with the tom yum soup tho. Not really that spicy to me. Their Spicy BKK Street Pasta (RM28) is good either. It served with prawns, soft boiled eggs and minced lamb with manow sauce. So called spicy but still, the level of spiciness is still acceptable to me. If only their sauce can be more. Lastly, Hawaiian Kaiju Rice (RM26) served with chicken patty, fried egg, mushrooms and Japanese curry with rice. Not really fancy with the Japanese curry, taste is weird to me. Chicken patty is a bit of overcooked. However, the vibes are good. They also served alcohol drinks. Will be back again for the food !
Tbh I'm not a cake person but this cafe always make me craving for cakes. Cakes in frame: (from above to below) Peanut Butter Chocolate (RM14.90), Banana Yogurt Cake (RM8.90) and Vanilla Bean Cheesecake (RM14.50). My favourite is Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, tho some of the people didn't feel it is special but I love the mixture of the taste between cheesecake and the vanilla bean (base of the cake) which is just nicely done. Second one would be Banana Yogurt. Was not expecting this to be so tasty when my friend told that it is their favourite and the thing is, you would never judge a book by its cover. It looks so simple yet the banana flavour is strong enough compare with those ordinary banana cake. Lastly, their Peanut Butter Chocolate is nice too. I'm not really a fans of peanut butter chocolate but this one, sweetness just on point. A piece of advice from me, make sure you pay them a visit earlier before office break cause there are full of office people that eat cakes during their break instead of hot food.
Another smoothies bowl place that opened in Bon Estates Building, opposite to Bangsar Shopping Centre. It is quite easy to be found as the building is just beside the traffic light. If you are worry bout parking, they actually provide parking lot around the building, and no charge. The Golden Bowl (RM16.90) is a mango based smoothie bowl, which topped with fresh mango slices, chia seeds, bananas, blueberries, pumpkin seeds, goji berries and granola, while the Acai Bowl (RM21.90) is filled with dragonfruit, strawberries, coconut flesh and granola. Both are their signatures and for mango lovers, I strongly recommend the Golden Bowl, as their mango is really fresh and sweet. If you doubt their portion either is worth the price or not, believe me, you won't get disappointed with their portion and quality of their smoothies bowls. And also, it is better to share with two person for a bowl. We also ordered flat white (RM12) and latte (RM13), which are slightly expensive compare with other cafes. If you think their coffee is not strong enough, feel free to add on espresso shot with only RM1 top up. They also serving some cold pressed juices and some light foods.
The French Lady, is actually a french toast. Still the top of my list for having breakfast. But might due to the cafe still new, it is still crowded. Took 10 minute of waiting for seats and another 15 minute for this but somehow I think it is worth for waiting.
