This iconic Turkish dessert confectionery consists of multiple layers of fragile thin filo pastry, dressed in a sugar syrup and garnished with finely crushed pistachio nuts.

When served warm, the crisp crunch of the pastry and the soft chew of the nuts is lovely, however, there was occasions when it wasn't warmed properly, and the middle was cold.

Taste is lovely though, with bready buttery floral earthy sweet nutty flavour.
