Ordered a number of large bowls to bless my youths for the new year and they enjoyed the refreshing superfood after lunch. Thanks Burpple Beyond and W açai for the $100 voucher to make this possible.

A really dark treat after lunch. I like the 80% bitterness and just a tinge of sweetness to it.

Chendol ice cream worth going for. The real deal comes when you dig deep into the ice cream. It's not too overwhelming or sweet so it's just perfect for a warm day

I know this has been opened for a while since I always walk pass this every day, but I never had the reason to try it, until one hot Sunday. ☀️☀️☀️

It is a little pricey for $3.20 if you are expecting some cheap ice cream given the name of the stall, but the ice cream is freshly made and the single scoop is quite huge. They have other premium flavours as well but they are on the $3.90 range.

I have not been to Taiwan but I know it's a foodie heaven there, given the shockwaves of Taiwan food stalls popping up in Singapore. Recently there was this media coverage on the trending Popiah style Ice cream with shaved peanut from Taiwan having arrived in Singapore through DessertStory branches, I knew I had to try this before my trip.

At $3.50 for a piece of popiah ice cream, it doesn't really complete your reserved space for dessert in your stomach, but it sure was interesting. I like how the chilling feeling on the popiah skin which wraps around the coconut ice cream that I have ordered. It's like having a much thinner slice of bread ice cream that you will see on the streets. There is also a leaf of coriander inside, which struck a refreshing yet unusual taste. I'm not sure if it will go well the majrotiy's taste buds, this doesn't seem too strong for me. Lastly, the shaved peanut candy really brought up the dessert dish to its worth. I love the fragrance and crunchiness of the peanuts in Min Jiang Kueh and the pairing with the ice cream is just brilliant.

Like a burrito, when you bite on it, the sauces and meat just burst forth into your mouth; imagine that with ice cream and the wonderful peanut candy.

Freshly made with lots of liquid love. The first time I tried this was when Veronica bought this for the office. It was so amazing that I could never forgot about it. Since I had to walked through Raffles City Mall to reach Suntec City, I had to buy a couple boxes for my family and gf's family to try. As expected, it was as amazing as the last time I had it with all the overflowing matcha and black sesame custard oozing out as the knife cleanly cuts the puff into half with ease. A messy ending to the plate after cutting into eighths I think? But it was satisfying to see everyone trying having the same reaction. 😋

Maxwell Food Centre is one stall overshadowed by the celebrated hawkers surrounding it being the new sibling of the block. If you have thought that the usual traditional beancurd made from yellow soya beancurd or the once trendy Lao Ban beancurd was smooth, then you have to try this for yourself. It is amazingly smooth and silky, you will feel its like a drinkable beancurd.
The black beancurd comes in 3 syrups - gula melaka, the normal sugar, and ginger soup. I went with the ginger soup because I somewhat have a special liking for ginger flavor dessert and it really feels refreshing with that little sweet & spicy touch after slurpping the beancurd. Sadly, I did not opt to 'zhng' the bowl with more 'liao'. At $2.50 for ginger soup option, its a little pricer than the traditional soya beancurd that we are so accustomed to, but for the novelty and the silky smooth experience, worthed it.
Should you wish to explore further, Woong Kee also sells black soya milk ($2.20) which looks a bit greenish but containing all the healthy benefits of black soya. Definitely coming back here again after gym session for a protein dessert. =P

Splitting this crusty puff to show the beautiful overflowing cream is simply a delight to the eye and dreadful to the stomach; it simply craves for it. There are 3 flavours I think, matcha, black sesame and coffee. At $4.30 per puff, it really hits the satisfaction spot of cream to puff ratio that similar puffs out there can't deliver. On top of that, the puff is really unique, giving a strong veneration to the dough of melon bread in japan. This makes a really great visiting or party gift in my opinion.

Looking at Royce's post of this chendol when I'm in Bukit Batok area made me come here with parents to try. It's really rare to find such a Bengawan Solo outlet with desserts so this is quite a must try for me. The chendol is quite unique with a stronger pandan smell even before tasting it. Mum said the coconut taste fresh as well. 👍

Good news for French sweets lovers! The famous Le Canelé from Hong Kong has arrived in SG and you can get your treat at The Concourse. They currently have four flavours, Traditional (Vanilla bean & Dark rum), Mediterranean (Orange zest & Grand Marnier), Irish (Coffee & Whisky) and Framboise (Raspberry & Raspberry brandy). The one I really like is Mediterranean which has a tangy yet slightly sweet hint to it, not too overwhelming for me. It comes in 3 sizes as well; cocktail ($1.8 per piece) being the smallest, medium ($3.5 per piece) and grand ($5.5 per piece) being the largest.

Famed for its shaved ice and durian desserts, we caved in for durian and got a bowl to share! Unlike usual sagos, the durian sago here lays on top of a bed of ice which kinda dilutes the goodness after mixing. The scoop of durian purée was good but the generous pomelo bits were slightly overpowering for me.

Now I've very bad cravings for Dessert Bowl's Durian Mousse with a double shot of durian. Someone bring me there please! 😩
