FOOD HUNT
Looking for all day breakfast meal?? Check out Wild Honey at either Scotts Square or Mandarin Gallery.
We had the traditional English Breakfast ($22) and Tunisian Breakfast ($18). I think Wild Honey serves the best breakfast ever. We really had no complains about the food. Everything was very filling and delicious.
YOU MUST TRY THE TUNISIAN OMG.
Truth to be told, I almost wanted to order another one of it. It was that good!! Honestly, the prices isn't that cheap, but for the ambience and food, it's so worth it.

Plump and fat scallops seared to perfection. Doesn't taste rubbery which is a good sign of not being overcook. Still can taste every grain of the rice without being mushy. Shimeji mushroom and kale enhances the flavor of the dish. This is what risotto should taste like. 'Seared Scallops Risotto ($26)'
I wish there was more!! If you're lucky, you're able to see horses galloping at the nearby stable farm! Ambience was really relaxing with all the lush greenery. Location may be harder to find, and probably more convenient with a car.
Ps: try their "Death by Chocolate Cake" for chocolate lovers. Thank me later.

Queued 3 hours on the first day of its opening. Once you stepped into the shop, the fragrance of the cheese tart just fills the whole place.
Would recommend you to preheat it first if you're not going to consume it first for that warm and moist filling. Have not personally consume Pablo cheese tart from Japan, but I'm pretty sure that it's the closest you can get from Japan! 1 for $3.50, 6 for $19.50. Maximum each person can get 12 only.

Nacho Cheese Fries ($8), Honey Paprika Crispy Wings ($10), Bacon & Mushroom Truffle Cream Pasta ($15) and Confit of Duck Leg with Honey Mustard Sauce ($17). Generous slab of cheese, sweet crispy wings, flavorful pasta and well marinated duck. Service and ambience matches the food and it's the perfect recipe to a great cafe. Just make sure to make a reservation!
Enough said, the picture says it all.

Curious about how it's like sitting on a ship while dining? Here at Wood & Steel Gastrobar you are able to do so!
Beware: this is not suitable for people who gets seasick easily due to constant rocking motion of the ship. I had to leave after 2 hours because I couldn't handle the constant rocking of the ship.
The concept is great with spectacular view showcasing the Singapore Flyer. It is even great during the night time with all the fancy lights. Newly opened not too long ago, it's located at the top deck of the ship just above one of the famous Santafe Fex-Mex Grill restaurant.
Ordered Belly Dancer ($21), Sausage Fest ($21), Shoestring Truffle Fries ($13) and Beer Battered Fish ($10). However, the food were rather disappointing. Truffle fries were like plain sea salt fries, lack of potato and very very crispy (but in a bad way). After 2 hours the fries were still so crispy and I am convinced that the fries were fried over and over again for at least 2-3 times. The Pork Belly was slather on with pear flavored sauce which I personally felt that it was weird with pork belly being savory, it ended up being sweet and I did not enjoy it. Sausage fest and Beer Battered Fish were normal & nothing special about it.

[Today's Menu]: Mushroom Aglio Olio ($13.80) & Carbonara ($15.80). Freshly shaved slices of Parmesan cheese with a kick of spiciness for the Aglio Olio. Mushroom taste is a bit strong but I think that it's just nice for me. Beware of the oozing egg! Alleviates perfectly the creaminess of the sauce.
We went to whisk & paddle thinking that if the pasta were nice, the other mains in the menu would be decent too. Unfortunately, the other food in the dinner menu did not work for me. Undercooked and sub-partial standard. We ordered Fish & Chips ($25) and Gnocchi ($26). Fish and Chips were disappointed dry and the batter was doughy. Gnocchi were nowhere near of being a gnocchi. It looked more like balls of pasta dough being press flat in the middle. Duck was rare and we had to request for a second cooking. Ambience was nice as it was situated next to a park with smell of fresh greenery. I believe there are live bands on the weekend too. But other than that, I might have to think twice before coming back.
Do call the restaurant to check if they are open. Went there 5 times and was only opened twice. Either under renovation or not open.

First up, today it's Rise & GrindCo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The cafe is tucked away in a corner and it was rather small in size nevertheless, the ambience was rather nice. We got the outside seats due to full house indoors. Just remember that it will be rather humid if you're going to sit outside on a hot and sunny afternoon! We ordered the Tom Yum Seafood Pasta ($17) and the Nacho Libre Burger($16). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀The Tom Yum Seafood Pasta in my opinion is packed with a punch of flavor. Not only was the pasta al-dente, the sauce was adequate with a balance of sour, spice and creamy. The prawns and squids were nice but just a tad bit overcooked. Mussels was decent. I feel that this tom yum pasta was even better than 49 seats which supposingly claims to be one of the best? But my experience didn't tells me so.
Next up, the Nacho Libre Burger. It's a very interesting concept to put chips in a burger which gives a different texture to the burger itself. The salsa and guacamole was quite nice and not too overpowering. The chicken patty is grilled nicely without being too dry. All in all, this burger is quite unique, but I still felt that the Tom Yum Seafood Pasta top it off.
One critic only, we topped up extra $3 (I think) to change the fries to truffle fries. But it taste nothing close to truffle fries. So if you're going to dine there, just skip the truffle fries. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do order their cold press juice! ($6.50) I believe they don't manufacture it but whoever did, it was a super refreshing drink for such a humid weather in S'pore.
Do note that you have to make your way to the counter to have your order placed, and also self service with the cutleries and water. However, they do not charged any service charge or GST so why not? The prices are very affordable with the quality of the food they serve. Instagram: takemefeedme
