Curious about how it's like sitting on a ship while dining? Here at Wood & Steel Gastrobar you are able to do so!
Beware: this is not suitable for people who gets seasick easily due to constant rocking motion of the ship. I had to leave after 2 hours because I couldn't handle the constant rocking of the ship.
The concept is great with spectacular view showcasing the Singapore Flyer. It is even great during the night time with all the fancy lights. Newly opened not too long ago, it's located at the top deck of the ship just above one of the famous Santafe Fex-Mex Grill restaurant.
Ordered Belly Dancer ($21), Sausage Fest ($21), Shoestring Truffle Fries ($13) and Beer Battered Fish ($10). However, the food were rather disappointing. Truffle fries were like plain sea salt fries, lack of potato and very very crispy (but in a bad way). After 2 hours the fries were still so crispy and I am convinced that the fries were fried over and over again for at least 2-3 times. The Pork Belly was slather on with pear flavored sauce which I personally felt that it was weird with pork belly being savory, it ended up being sweet and I did not enjoy it. Sausage fest and Beer Battered Fish were normal & nothing special about it.
