This Thai-Japanese fusion ramen was really interesting, I particularly liked that it incorporated elements of Tom Yum flavors (slightly sour and spicy) without compromising on their signature quality tonkatsu stock. Don't expect the same kick you get from the typical Tom Yun soup - the flavours are milder and the soup stock is thicker. Overall a very enjoyable ramen, be sure to get it by 30 June as they'll only be serving it till then!
For those who prefer a less daunting option to the thicker lobster broth, the clear soup has a pleasant and subtle yuzu flavor that complements the lobster broth quite well. Not sure if it's just me but the soup reminded me of prawn mee 😂 Again, not sure if it's a matter of personal preference but I didn't think it was a particularly special bowl of ramen worth the queue :(
This is basically ramen tossed in dried sardine oil and shoyu, and it comes with chicken soup. This was quite flavorful and tasty but I felt like something was missing, maybe because it was a tad too salty. The aburi chashu was really yummy though!! Really love that quintessential burnt-ish flavor.
