had bingsu as supper last night at Bingki! another bingsu place which is open 24/7! we tried the Oreo Bingsu ($14) and the Green Tea Bingsu ($14). first thing that would catch anyone's eye would be the cute presentation of the bingsus! these were not so heavy as compared to other bingsus, and it was great way to finish off a meal. there wasn't any condensed milk too, which made me feel better because it seemed more healthy hehe 😉 a little expensive for its small portion though.

crispy golden waffles with generous scoops of earl grey & pistachio ice-cream, drizzled all over with caramel & chocolate sauce. still affordable, and still super creamy & gooood!

Atlas Coffeehouse does their bakes in-house, such as this Key Lime Pie. This was pretty good, with strong citrusy zinginess within the smooth curd that makes it distinctively Key Lime. Crust was also well done for it carried cookie-like flavours with a hint of butter; held up the pie pretty well without crumbling into a mess. Great to pair with a cup of coffee!

From Atlas Coffeehouse at 6 Duke's Road, by the same people behind Assembly Coffee. Assembly Coffee is pretty much known for their stellar waffles, and pretty glad that Atlas Coffeehouse does their waffles pretty well too. Crisp exterior with a plush, fluffy interior, their Earl Grey Caramel Waffles come with a light tea aroma accompanied by the sweetness of caramel. Vanilla ice-cream was able to sustain our long photography session, and went well with the waffles and the fresh strawberries.

Rich and creamy chocolate swiss roll with choco pops hidden within, providing an additional crunch to the classic flavour. [$5.90]

House made gourmet ice cream buns with 4 unique flavours (Thai Ice Tea, Black Sesame, Red Velvet and Salted Yolk) were launched yesterday @southbronxburger. We had Red Velvet even though we were too full from waffles. Ferrero Rocher ice cream "patty" with granola base, drizzled some Nutella sauce over and placed on the bun. Now that's a burger I LOVE!

First time trying truffle and chocolate combination which I must say it's queer, but it does grows on you with more bites. But truffle is only on the top chocolate layer, the base is still a normal chocolate cake with chocolate mousse.

This black beauty seriously had put many mediocre charcoal waffles to shame. You can taste the distinctive roasted black sesame flavor in every bite, with the subtle flavor of miso caramel sauce complementing it. The black chocolate coated vanilla ice cream does prevent itself from melting fast but personally I think it will be even better with a black sesame ice cream instead, for black sesame lover like me.

Lighting's almost in the same boat as Montana, though its monochromatic tiles & carpet help with the photo op.

Food:
1) Dark Chocolate [$5.50]
Simply a mantou-esque donut, fried to order, glazed with dark chocolate orange ganache, topped with crunchy granola bits and finished with an injection of apple cider salted caramel.
Didn't really get any citrus acidity from the glaze, but the freshly-fried donut was still pretty dang delicious.

Top up $0.20 to pick your own glaze, topping & filling instead of the preset selections.
Much of Fab Dough's lamentations lie with its space largely obscured by Montana itself, and perhaps its steeper pricing for a perceived donut. Shave a dollar off, move to a more visible location, and it deserves to resuscitate the upmarket donut trend.

Come Here: Again.

Super impressed with this. Waffle was really crisp, fluffy inside and tastes great. With butterscotch sauce drizzled on top...perfect. The artisanal vanilla ice cream had a good light flavour but was rather icy. Was dying to caramelise the banana slices to make it THE perfect dessert.
