Had a really satisfying dinner at @mukjja_sg! The stir fried jjajangmyeon was a nice change from the usual one — being stir fried gave it a nice char fragrance and really brought out the flavour of the black bean paste. The tangsusyuk was super massive and very shiok to eat. Great for 2-3 pax!

Bossam ($35) from @itaewonjjajang was so tender and good! Another highlight was their samgaetang and mandu — great Korean food at a relatively affordable price. Their banchan was quite limited but at least their mains made up for it.

So great to have KFC in a coffee shop! The chicken was so crispy and juicy, and not oily at all. They were quite generous with their honey butter powder, which surprisingly went really well with the fried chicken. The other flavours (spicy and soy) weren’t that great - the sauce was a little too wet for my liking and taste-wise, not as interesting as the honey butter. Quite cheap for KFC and definitely worth the price!

A sizzling plate of Korean spicy rice cake, fish cake, and vegetables in a spicy and sweet chilli paste sauce. Cheese is an add-on which costs a bit more but totally worth it. This is comfort food at its best - served piping hot with melty cheese all over the top, it is a great dish for sharing with friends. The cheese and sauce really compliment each other. The sauce is sweet, spicy, and slightly tart which helps to cut through the richness of the cheese, while the cheese really brings out the flavour of the other ingredients. Portion-wise, not the most generous, hence best to share with a group of friends.

Two slices of toast with Korean rice cake in the centre and cheese on top, topped with a scoop of coconut ice cream and lots of nuts. Very run of the mill, and I think you're paying mostly for the novelty factor. The toast isn't anything special, probably just gardenia bread. Couldn't really taste the cheese as there was so much else going on. I think you're better off ordering their bingsu.

Still not entirely convinced about this whole bingsu craze as it is just essentially fine shaved ice. Anyway, for a bingsu, the one here is not bad. The ice was quite fine, and the green tea ice cream complimented the milky taste of the ice. It was a little on the "dry" side though, as there were no fillings below the ice. All in all, still nothing to make me fork out $16-$19 (!) for this glorified Korean ice kachang.

Really nothing spectacular. Just fried fish cake-like pancakes with some prawn meat and other seafood inside. However it is recommended to order these other side dishes as eating the jjimdak alone can get a bit gelat.

A huge Korean stew with chicken, potato, and carrots. This variation is their spiciest, which is not unbearable but may be a bit too spicy for those can't really eat spicy food. The chicken was not boneless, and I would order the one which does serve the chicken boneless just for convenience. The best part of this dish had to be the translucent glass noodles that really absorbed up all the gravy and was just really addictive. This is a pretty large portion, and may be a little too much for 2, so going in groups of 3 or 4 would be best.
