Saveur had changed up their menu the last time I’ve been here (which had been quite a while ago to be honest). A bigger menu now with more variety of pastas. We had the tiger prawn aglio olio, which was reminiscent of their famous original saveur pasta. But this is a levelled up version with prawns and onsen egg, and of course topped with fried ebi (or what I call hei-bi). The pan-seared barramundi never fails too; crispy-skinned and it’s meat still moist. Oh and thumbs up for the plating too. 👍🏻

Family had our mini NYE celebratory dinner here at Brio in Jurong Point last Sunday (also because it was crowded everywhere and we managed to get seats here 😅) We shared these among us: Garlic Mussels and Clams, Salted Egg Fish and Chips and Salmon with Aubergine. I'd recommend the mussels appetiser; the fish and chips were normal (although portion was big and I liked the fries) and I find the salmon dry and tad overcooked!

Selected a Mexican restaurant for my dad's birthday dinner and we ordered corn chips, mixed greens and 3 platters for sharing: Red Snapper with Clams, Chargrilled Angus Steak with Chilli Mayo and Roasted Pork Ribs with Piña Salsa. Despite these falling under the 'family-style for sharing' category in the menu, the portions for these weren't that big. But for me, it was quality over quantity. (However different from my experiences in the States) The dishes were flavourful and the accompanying dipping sauces were great. (The Piña Salsa was definitely an interesting one!) There's a drinks bar within the restaurant as well so it's also a good location for after-work drinks with friends!

Fridate dinner at Tin Hill Social, just a short walking distance from Sixth Avenue.Thankful for the lovely ambience away from the bustle, a great place to unwind after a long work week.

We shared the Pappadelle Seafood ($33) and Sous Vide Baby Chicken ($33) between two of us, using the 1-1 Entertainer deal. 👍🏻 I really liked the seafood stew, flavourful but yet not too rich and thick, with lots of seafood: there were mussels, clams, prawns, crayfish and squid! For meat lovers, the whole baby chicken should be more than sufficiently filling and the sous vide meat itself was also really tender. Although we didn't have any, you can order drinks from the bar there as well!

The sheer amount of truffle goodness on this is 👌🏻😌 and the fact that they are so thinly sliced makes you less guilty that you are shoving them into your mouth fry-after-fry. One thing though I felt it lacks is salt; apart from the taste and aroma of truffle, these fries are lacking a bit of seasoning. Otherwise, portion is good and makes for a great sharing appetiser! Also, don't leave it for too long like us or a pool of oil will start to form at the bottom of the pile!

Company's Christmas celebratory dinner at the swanky SKIRT @ W Hotel. Selected the fish for my mains: Patagonian toothfish on a vegetable medley in a rich lobster broth. So perfectly cooked, loved every bit of it. 😌

Love love love the Christmassy vibes, with the interior dressed up in Christmas decor and our dinner view of the pretty lights and huge Christmas tree outside. Celebrated my dads birthday with a huge spread: Salami pizza with button mushrooms, Rosti with pork sausage, Smoked salmon crepe, Crispy pork knuckle and an assortment of roasted vegetables and potatoes. Plus the advent calendar promo at Marche offered a 1 for 1 Movenpick coffee so we had to try. There were lots at the desserts counter too but everyone was too stuffed for sweets after. 😂

Wholesome healthy dinner options available here: Pan-seared salmon fillet packed with omega-3 fatty acids, on a bed of cauliflower-quinoa-edamame mix that adds a nice splash of colours. Great guilt-free meal option for those looking to detoxify after one-too-many sinful indulgent meals.

This place's a hidden gem: affordable set lunches (till 3pm) which comes with free flow salads, soup of the day with garlic bread, cake for dessert and coffee/tea. Lovely, cosy restaurant with a rustic American vibe, serving decent western courses that's really value for money. Customer experience was impeccable too, with waiters serving us with a constant smile. Definitely a place I'll revisit for the ambience and fussfree western dishes.

Eggy, cheesy, creamy and sinfully yummy. This dish is definitely on the salty side with the various types of cheese and smoked haddock slices on the top but this starter is pretty big so it'll be great for sharing!

A thick slab of grilled grouper with tangy chimichurri sauce and an assortment of vegetables. The flavours for this dish was definitely milder and that perhaps was to bring out the freshness of the fish. Personally found this to be the least impressive dish of all.
