that bugger burgers
favourite things in life; burger, coffee and coconut water. at @montanasingapore, they mash-up the 2 liquids with chilled coffee in funnel over a coconut frozen sphere. game changer and refreshing af. #burpple
told you am a fanboy here right? always a healthier variant at @cedelesingapore. multigrains lean beef burger but not boring at all. patty is still juicy the way i like it and the sweet onion jam always hits home for me. don't forget to order a slice of their sea salt caramel tiramisu (available fresh every tuesday and thursday)
burger at a seafood joint because i like to live dangerously. someone once said ordering burger here seems counterintuitive at this seafood place, right @michmuses? haha. but really you dont say no to a good burger, especially like this one. .
that first knife in into the fatty juicy patty said it all. nicely charred exterior gave some resistance but beneath it just gave in at the very knife's touch, revealing that lucious pink on my medium rare angus chuck. and that slab of wettest portobello mushroom sitting on the patty was just love. me finishing the two buns was just pure testament to how good the brioche buns were.
TGIF, so eat burger. burger was definitely enjoyable with the wagyu beef patty being juicy the way i like it though the caramelised onion jam was tad stingy. the striploin steak ($28) on the other hand was tad disappointing - too heavy-handed on the salt and the medium was not well executed.
very decent tasting burger ($11) at the @thecarvingboardsg and doesn't break the bank! while fries could be better and patty was juussttttt tad harder than i preferred, this place still defo warrant a second visit (especially the carborana, looks pretty dope). missus' fish and chips in the background ($9) was equally promising if not a surprise cause we totally heart the crisp batter. so here's to an imaginary one fine day plan at yuhua - fei fei noodles in the morning, zai soon for lunch then carving board for dinner. woo hoo.. eat, song, die, you.
because patty burger is so yesterday. after one lousy time at a place selling meat (and) liquor, faith in gourmet burger totally restored with @twoblurguys' pulled pork burger. messy like it should be, wet like it should be. their burgers are nice la, they act blur only
while i prefer the beef patty to be less well done, this was still juicy enjoyable. always enjoy bacons that are cooked perfectly, so this maple glazed bacon strips works for me. and the yolk held on as long as i took the few shots. ha. so stirling is the bar at night on weekdays, food from @beyondplate.sg and drinks from the nomad on weekends. got it.
yard burger 2.0 from the hands of ex fat cow's head chef i heard. every component compliment each other nicely but careful to let just let the juicy wagyu fused patty's flavor shine through. topped with a perfect poached egg to wet down everything further. o the smokey in-house made bbq sauce by the side is really so not necessary
i like my mighty burger from charlie & co. but now i miss my de burg
just why ramly burger always taste so smacking yummy eludes me man. is it that sinful slap of planta in the bun n beef patty? or is it the parted thin half beef patty that was done perfectly on the oily grill? or that party-in-your-mouth explosion of sauces and spices in da mouth? today, i didn't manage to find out. cause i already chowed down mine. *burpppp*
But I tell you people, it sure taste good as hell!there's just this unpretentious old school charm to a $3 ramly burger - that unrefined squeezing of colorful sauces from sweaty malay uncles and the two halves odd size buns with that spat of planta that never fit nicely with the beef patty.
foie gras hamburger. i must be too greedy to think they would serve me the foie gras as the whole patty. lol. but that small slab there makes it up with quality. take a small cut of that foie gras and paired it with the braised meat and you get incredible texture and flavors just explodes in your mouth
