Chashu-men: Slurping goodness with lovely, springy noodles that absorb the rich flavour of the yummy pork-based soup. The soup was so flavourful that I happily finished up everything. The egg was done perfectly, and I loved the generous portions of Chashu. However, the Chashu pieces could be a little softer and more tender. At $16 (regular size), this was reasonably priced. On rainy days, this is a perfect meal to have!

I was pleased to find out that Hachifukumaru has revamped their menu, allowing customers to choose between regular size (perfect for small eaters like me) and Japan size (for hearty eaters) for their ramen.

Mentai Atsuyaki Tamago- A soft, fluffy egg omelette filled with generous portions of mentaiko and complemented by patterns of mayonnaise decorated all over. Many people rave about the ramen here, but few know that this is a delightful appetizer that is great to have before your mains. At $6, this is perfect for sharing with your eggcellent date too! I prefer the outlet here as compared to the one at Orchard Central, as it is cosier and has better service too.

Apart from the Shiok Maki, the Aburi Salmon Sushi and Salmon Sushi are so fresh and yummy. Rating: 5 / 5

This is a must-try! In the super mega ramen noodle is a pork spare rib, bbq pork slices, pork skewer and a gooey yolked egg cut in half. Under that is a large bowl of ramen noodles, a sheet of nori and the thick tonkotsu broth! Perfect for sharing.

Matcha up to? I'm enjoying a yummy Matcha Shiratama Parfait, my reason for many revisits here.

A visit to Babette must include their signature dessert. Warm matcha lava that oozes out of the fluffy cake, accompanied by smooth and luscious vanilla bean ice-cream.

Succulent and crispy pork cutlets, together with fresh lettuce and yummy dressings, are always a great dinner treat!

Truffle Yakiniku Don. Finally got to try this highly-rated meal! The beef slices were succulent and fresh, and the onsen egg was done to perfection.

What better way to kickstart the weekend than with the shiokness of the signature shiok maki here? Pure goodness of unagi embedded in the rice, and wrapped with succulent salmon, topped with yummy sauce! Worth many revisits!
