Drink Drank Drunk

While the food was incredibly salty, the Pineapple Daiquiri ($12++) was fine. At half price of usual cocktails, I’m not going to complain. Wasn't anything to shout about, though.

I don't suppose I need to say much about the theme behind Spectre, as you’ve probably read much about it in the 3+ months they’ve been open. But ICYMI, they are a mental-wellness themed cocktail bar with unique drinks & delicious nibbles.

With the vintage apothecary decor, this is a cosy space in Tanjong Pagar for a drink (or two) with some good food. I’d actually been on my own a few times before this hosted tasting - overall, a great experience here each time. Would certainly return on my own or with a small group of friends.

The vibes at Yeastside’s newer outlet differs from that of their OG one at King Albert Park. Yeastside Farrer Park is actually located adjacent to the lobby of lyf Farrer Park Hotel, with comfortable indoor air-conditioned seats.

Orders are placed at the counter & will be served to you - if they remember to give you a table number standee thing. They forgot to give one to us & our pizza was aimlessly wandering around for a bit 😂 But no issue, as the space is small & found its way to us quickly.

They have a plethora of beers & cocktails on tap - both local brews & otherwise. Keeps things fresh & interesting! I took my American friend here to try some Singaporean beers & he enjoyed them very much. Something off the typical “touristy agenda”, yet still uniquely Singaporean.

Giap asked me if I enjoy sweet drinks or desserts; I don’t, but kept an open mind.

Damn. This surprised me greatly. It’s not actually that sweet; quite balanced from the furikake & foam.. It ended up being my favourite of the night.

Also worth noting that this is the only cocktail that is served warm (& thus, takes a bit more time to prepare 😊)

I surprisingly enjoyed the lighter drinks that I started off with, & was curious about the more spirit-forward drinks (congruent with my usual preference).

This one took it up a notch & also came with delectable nibbles on the side. It was dark & mysterious & became my favourite of the night thus far..

I'd chose the flight of 4 (not the full set), of which this cocktail (2nd out of the full 6) isn't a part of. But Giap was so kind as to pour me a portion to try!

This isn't the actual presentation glassware iirc. Apparently, this has been quite a crowd favourite thus far.

Starting off with the first on the list; this one is as refreshing as it looks/sounds. The flavours are light & delicately balanced.. I found myself smacking my lips in delight as this chilled drink melted* my corporate slave woes away.

The reservations-only Room 0202 is a very cosy & intimate space, where you'll be enthralled by the sneak peek of the R&D that goes into the Nutmeg Collective.

They have a selection of 6 cocktails; you get to choose a flight of 6 (i.e. everything for $118++) or 4 (a pre-determined set for $88++)... & then you sit back, relax & enjoy. I particularly loved the jazz music played throughout the night, & asked Giap if it's publicly available on Spotify (spoiler alert: It is 😁).

Cocktails are served individually & in a specific order; lightest to heaviest, & at your own pace. The servings in the flights aren't the full portion (2/3, specifically - & of course it's not the full price per drink).. If you have space to have more cocktails thereafter, there is that option to get the full-sized cocktail, priced individually.
