Haven’t had Thai-style crab meat fried rice before, so I have no comparison. Feel the rice lacks some wok hei and salt. Luckily it comes with some fish sauce and chilli padi to spice it up. Crab meat was plenty and fresh!
Craving for Thai food sorted thanks to the potent tom yum soup here. It’s filled with generous ingredients (we chose seafood) such as prawns, mushrooms, and squids. Glad the broth doesn’t taste too artificially sour, but wish it could be more kicking with some additional (roughly chopped) chilli.
Haven't had a solid tom yum soup for a while and I'm glad theirs was potent. Not the typical grainy chilli paste soup here. The broth was smooth yet flavourful from all the lemongrass, ginger, chilli and red onion. At first the price tag kinda scared me off but it came with a chockful of ingredients - fishball, fish, prawns, and oyster mushrooms. Wish I had the stomach space to wipe the broth clean!
The seafood mousse is moderately spicy while the texture remains generally smooth. The lid also helps to keep the otah warm throughout the meal. The food here comes with hefty price tag, but service and food quality are pretty good.
The portion was bigger than I last had it. Was struggling to finish it after halfway through the bowl. The noodle lacked the oomph and umami flavour, although still pretty good.
Our favourite of the lot. The pad thai carried tangy smoky flavour while leaning towards the savoury side rather than the sweet side. Noodle was also cooked al dente, to my surprise — everything on the plate was on point.
Love the tender and juicy pork cutlet, but the green curry was not what I expected. Perhaps they are catering to those who are not into spicy food, but I would prefer a stronger curry. Still pretty delicious though not like the typical green elsewhere.
Quite a pity that the chicken was slightly under-seasoned, but the condiments kinda made up for it. I liked dipping the meat in the tangy mint sauce with a lil bit of fish sauce and chilli padi.
They could have done with more chilli to improve the flavour, which was rather one-dimensional. Probably my least favourite because I had so much expectation for this one, but turned out to taste more like tomato soup.
A refreshing starter to our meal. Like their idea of adding some long beans and cherry tomatoes to the papaya salad. And unlike the typical shredded papaya salad, this one came thinly sliced, giving a nice crunchy bite.
So close to the typical street food you can get in Thailand. The skewers came out hot with a nice charred aroma. Would order this again if I’m here.
The crispy chicken wings held so much flavours from the lemongrass, and if that’s not enough, you can even bite into the fried shredded lemongrass on top. A classic dish that was made complete with the fiery chilli condiments on the side.
