New Places
Looks like they took over the former Charcoal bistro. An ok grilled chicken that’s more pan fried than anything. It’s the type of local western restaurant that’s been slowly disappearing, with all the new hipster places. #burpple
The fried chicken has nice crispy skin without being too oily and dry and the 3/4 boiled Japanese style egg is a nice change from the usual overly hard boiled eggs that accompany your typical Nasi lemak. The rice could be fluffier and more lemak while the sambal is sweet with a little tinge of sour and not too spicy. The cafe has a mixed local and western menu which I will be back to try. @lecaffe_salato #burpple

First time here. #burpple
The chicken is crispy and not over done while the sambal is spicy and flavourful. All offset by a light, crispy pickled cucumber. I guess they’re going for the rustic feel, but Penyet is too messy to be served on banana leaf in a basket. #burpple #platesplease
The rice isn’t as Lemak as I’d like and the rendang chicken is actually crispy fried chicken pieces with a rendang sauce. (Lol. Master chef anyone.) Nonetheless, the chicken is crispy, flavorful and tender on the inside and the accompanying sauce is a nice touch. Pretty good for RM8. #burpple #sabaheats
In a Bowl has set up at Biru Biru. #burpple
Trying our The Chub's Grill new location at Plaza Shell KK.
New family run dessert cafe at Latitud 6.
First time trying the pan mien here in Damai. Not too bad.
Relax Coffee Cafe in Menggatal Plaza has been open a while but my first time here. It's a substantial amount of random dishes served on a board. (Yes, gimme a plate, dammit)
Fried chicken cutlet with no taste cheese sauce, a good salad, egg drop soup (random I know), mystery orange colored sauce which may be chili sauce, yam cooked in soy sauce (quite tasty but was cold) and cheese toast with banana and chocolate sauce. On the up side, could feed 2.
