How Eggporn all began, and the way of eating custard buns.

1) Chilled $ Sliced Fresh Abalone
2) Lobster & Mixed Seafood Soup
3) Braised Stuffed Sea Cucumber
4) Deep Fried Fish Fillet with Mushroom Sauce
5) Fried Rice with Fresh Crabmeat & Fish Roe

We started our long weekend with the long trip down to Sin Lee Foods with high expectations. After doing some research, we ordered the dishes that garnered many positive reviews. It was like going on a roller-coaster ride whereby our expectations fall flat with disappointment. The soft shell crab with mantou was just so-so while the waffles was hard and lukewarm. The most difficult to eat out of the lot was the beef and grains as the shoyu sauce was too salty. The only saving grace was the chicken and salted egg sweet potato fries. I will not make the long trip down to this place again.

No hint of miso in the sauce but still tasty! Would have been nicer if there were real tempura prawns though. The batter on the prawns were slightly too thick and starchy for my liking. $18.
