An entire shop selling matcha desserts definitely warrants a visit! We ordered this matcha ice cream dessert which came with classic pairings - azuki red beans & mochi balls. The matcha was well balanced between the sweetness & bitterness of the green tea. Drizzle some of the brown sugar syrup which came at the side, and that makes a good dessert stop!
Roast goose is an elevated version of duck to me, with a far higher fat & oil content in the meat. Much unhealthier but much more tasty! The one served at Kam's (gained a Michelin star in 2015) was very well executed and it kept the thin layer of skin fairly crispy. Special mention for their char siew and shao rou too! I would definitely come back here for my roast meat anytime!
I just found my favorite part of the chicken after my visit to Yardbird - the OYSTER. So damn bloody good. It's actually the part near the thigh area, but with much more firmer meat. No reason not to call for more orders of this! 🙋
This bowl of beef brisket ee mian - winning factor is definitely the broth. So light but yet flavorful enough to keep us wanting for more. The spongy ee mian was a good match and thought the brisket can be softer!
Another reason why I love Mong Kok, also the reason why at times we struggled whether to alight at Mong Kok MTR just to grab one more of this. This pack of cold noodles & other toppings tossed in some spicy sour sauce got me hooked on it. I liked the jellyfish, corn and crab meat!
This cart noodles is very similar like our yong tau foo. You choose your ingredients & noodles, which means every single bowl can taste very different! My favorite toppings were the beef brisket (IMO it was the most worth it ingredient too!) as it was braised till soft and the pork intestines!! It was fatty and chewy. The skin looked a bit like brains but I love it!! Be careful of the chilli on the table as it tasted oddly bitter to me.
Is it even okay to be indulging in this Black Truffle Scrambled Eggs early in the morning?! Nevertheless, this wasn't as crowded as the other famous eggs cha chan Teng but equally good especially washing down your breakfast with that milk tea - pure bliss 😌
