Rawon is very normal beef soup made with keluak that can be found in East Java, Indonesia. For the first timer, they might be very disgusted due to the color of the soup. However, its worth to try as it is delicious.

For the rawon at Impian Wahyu, the rawon soup taste a bit too sweet for me that prefer a saltish taste. Inside has one slice of beef meat, and the rawon come with squashed meat aka Empal and Tempe.

One of the things that surprise me is the SAMBAL. The handmade chilli is super nice. The recommended food here bases on the owner is Oxtail Soup or Sup Buntut and Nasi Penyet

Very unique silken tofu. When I show the picture to my sister they thot it was tofu covered with squid ink. 😄

Taste unique, outside very crispy, inside still maintain the texture of the silky tofu. You can dip into mayonnaise if you like !

One of the unique and delicious dishes u shld try when u come here :)

Park yourself at this bicycle cafe for wholesome, delicious and affordable protein bowls. The customisable Protein Bowl ($11) includes one base, one protein, two sides, one topping and one dressing. Burppler Chu Ning enjoyed the tender and thinly-sliced Beef paired with Penne. Other noteworthy options include the fragrant Garlic Butter Broccoli and the smoky Char Siew Pork Belly. P.S. Cyclists, there is plenty of bike parking space here!

Family gatherings call for dim sum feasts at this classic spot along Maxwell Road. Boasting an extensive menu with over 100 items to pick from, you'll be spoilt for choice here. Pork lovers, don't hesitate on the intensely umami and porky Spicy Congee in Mixed Treasures ($10) or the juicy and crispy Roasted Pork ($16). If you're a fan of salted egg yolk, the signature Salted Egg Yolk Bun ($5.80) with a perfectly savoury-sweet filling is a must-get.

Another bubble tea joint enters the foray – find this local brand housed in newly opened City Gate along Beach Road. Get the refreshing White Peach Oolong Tea (from $3.50) or Osmanthus Oolong Tea (from $3.50) to beat the heat, or the milky and decadent Milky Taro with Golden Pearls ($5.50) on a treat-yourself day.

Holgate Norton Lager ($14++) on tap; the only non-American Beer from their craft beer list... It's from Australia! It's the lightest craft beer they have; easy to go down, slightly fragrant. I like it!

One thing though-- the chips served were super lao hong & cold. Pretty gross..... I mean, even though it's free..... Have some standard leh.

The famous Kok Kee Wanton Mee has moved just a few steps from their old home at Lavender Food Square to Hoa Nam Building at 27 Foch Road, and is finally open for business once again. Nothing has changed (save for a $0.50 increase, and servings come in bowls now) - the noodles are still springy, and the mystical secret sauce and sweet chilli continue to enchant. Welcome back to the queue.

Went back to Sin Lee's and brought my folks because I was won over by their creativity and decided to explore the rest of the menu with them.

Here is the Beef & Grains ($23). The rice was a little too wet for my liking and the brown sauce was also too salty, true to other reviews that I've read. The beef though is really nice and tender, but kinda gets drowned by the Japanese seasoning. Portion wise it's also not too big and not very filling.

Heartiness (portion): 3/5
Tastiness (product): 2/5
Worthiness (price): 3/5

Its little wonder how this place becomes such a popular spot; the 24 hour operations is definitely convenience to solve your hunger and cravings at any time. Portions are quite generous here, and there is just so many condiments you get from minced pork, pork balls, mushtooms to chicken cutlet as well. The dry bowl of Mee Kia also gets tossed in a flavourful sauce that is spiked with lots of vinegar so you get that tang along with the savoury flavours that tickles the tastebuds.

Carbonara pasta ($7) and Tusan cauliflower ($6) are so good that I think even @thesilverchef would have agreed with me. 😋😋😋

The newly-revamped flagship Ponggol Nasi Lemak outlet along Jalan Besar Road offers the same nasi lemak you know and love, but now in a fast food-esque setting and with a greater variety of side dishes and even desserts to choose from. Be sure to try the absolutely addictive Crispy Chicken Skin with Curry Leaves ($1.50 per serving/ $4.80 per tub), which has its fats removed to make it as guilt-free as fried chicken skin could possibly be. You're probably not used to having ice cream right after your nasi lemak, but this is a new practice that seriously works, especially when the Milo ice cream ($2.50 per tub) tastes exactly like the Milo with condensed milk from the kopitiam—only in ice cream form!

Love food yet an exercise fanatic. Love ambience yet love cheap good food Call me contradictory
