Hawker Fares (The Satay Beehoon Legacy)
Prices are at $3/$4 a plate. For a place that can get quite deserted, patrons can get a reprieve from having to eat the wanton mee here that is opened only at night with this stall that sells food items that contains or relates to satay sauce - cuttlefish kang kong, satay beehoon and satay! This Satay Beehoon ($3) is more on the sweeter side than savoury, and thus loses its taste when mixed with the ingredients. The regular items found in a satay beehoon is present, except cockles, which may fail to please those who wants the extra cholesterol in their diet.
Prices are at $3/$4 a plate. There is a tendency for some fishball noodles stall to sell other food items as well such as laksa and satay beehoon. The Satay Beehoon ($3) here has their peanut separated from the sauce, but when mixed together, still provides the same gooey texture!
Prices are at $4/$5/$6 for a plate here. Shun Fa Satay Bee Hoon has opened up a 2nd branch at East Coast Village Food Centre, at the spot of Meng Kee Satay Bee Hoon (which had an inevitable closure). The sauce here tasted less peanuty, while the beehoon remains moist and absorbing part of the flavour of the sauce! Ingredients are plenty here, and there will still be a lot of sauce left after you finish the beehoon!
Priced at $4/$5 a plate, this plate of Satay Beehoon ($4) is possibly one of the spiciest Satay Beehoon that I have tried, probably due to the fact that this is also one of the only hawker stalls that you can find selling Lok Lok here! Ingredients and sauce are aplenty and slurp-worthy, but remember to gush the spiciness down with a drink after that!
Prices are at $4/$5/$6 a plate. It may be one of the more pricey satay beehoons around, but this plate of Satay Beehoon ($4) is easily one of those which comes in generous amounts of satay sauce! Comes with plenty of cuttlefish and kangkongs too!
