With burpple One for one! I got 2 ramens for the price of one! With tender slices of char Siew, a ramen egg and a spicy ramen that gives you a nice kick! This place doesnโt serve iced water but I noted many tables bringing in their own bubble tea. The staff are friendly.
These side dishes were part of the lunch set. The gyoza is recommended, juicy and tender! FYI I spotted a live cockroach running on the back of walls and pointed it out to a staff who quickly and quietly got rid of it.
Probably the most flavourful amongst the shio and Tonkotsu flavour but still not as good as keisuke

KAISEN HIYASHI MAZE-SOBA $16++ is served with a choice of 2 vegetables and 1 meat. This is my favourite dish from their new menu! Served with salmon sashimi, prawns, ikura, scallops. Any seafood lover would go crazy over this dish.

SPICY SHIO RAMEN $16++
All the broths at Hokkaido Santouka Ramen are hand made, served together with al-dente ramen noodles. It warms my heart every time! One of the reason why I love Santouka so much is that they are able to bring out the delicious flavour of the ingredients to the maximum extent possible, yet retaining the same mild, gentle flavour.

The elaborate play on textures in this bite sized pastry makes it so much more presentable. The danish pastry holds it shape even as you slice into with your butter knife. Kohi-Koji is very generous with the fruits snugly placed atop custard cream in the pastry. The fruits were fresh with a good combination of sweet and slightly sour varying tastes.

This is my bowl (U.P $14.95) of 2 fishes, Ginger Shoyu, which is made with tuna and classic Japanese shoyu with a dash of ginger as well as California Unrolled, which consists of a deconstructed California roll along with tobiko toe, salmon sashimi and avocado!
I picked my base of brown rice which uses Japanese grains which gives each mouthful a harder texture to bite into. The corn and shitake mushroom is pretty yummy too! ๐

The Japanese sashimi here is very fresh and almost melts in your mouth. The quality of the fish here is great and definitely worth your money.
They have 3 menus, one for cooked food, one for sushi and one for sashimi. It can get quite confusing. You can also get private rooms for groups. Be prepared to queue to get a table here on a Saturday night.
Chef Peter Teo serves up awesome sushi, and authentic Japanese food!
