Food
Chilling with girlfriends. Neat little space but wait for food is suuuuupppeeer long. Don't come too hungry ;p
Nice service but kitchen service is very slow. Not bad if you're not in a hurry, just chilling by the river.
The taste reminded me of my grandma.
You see, fast food was a luxury item when I was young. My ah-ma, knowing that I always had cravings for burgers, created her own recipe based on what she watched on TV commercials. She couldn’t eat beef, and therefore created a minced pork version and added sambal chilli sauce to spice things up.

Chicken Parmesan Linguine, an off-the-menu item which was a hit and miss. The toss pasta was rather tasteless even with tomato-based sauce. The baked chicken parmesan was nicely done with crumb coating crisps and melted cheese atop. A good meal in all, as the place lends itself to cozy chatting with my friend.
Madame Patisserie offers High Tea set with coffee ($28+) or with a pot of tea ($32+). The high tea set comprises of scones, sandwiches and desserts, where you can enjoy at the beautifully decorated outdoor seating, overlooking the serene waters of the Singapore River and habitable skyscrapers on a cool breezy day.
All these food for 5 people. Maybe it was enough for 5 small eaters.
The seafood wasn't very fresh but the LARD made everything tasted better.
Mookata is a combination of shabushabu and grilling functions. While the juices from the meat dripped down to the soup, it's flavors enhanced by twofold. A excellent flavor saving technic.

This relaxing restaurant specialises in crêpes. I tried the "Coco Chanel"- yes, you read that right - which consists of dark chocolate, sliced almonds, poached pears and the lightest chantilly cream. The crêpe is slightly chewy and the ingredients compliment each other nicely with the different textures and flavours. Shall go back soon to try their savoury ones!
Hidden amongst all the other fancy eateries at Circular Road is an eatery that is specialises in burgers is Dojo. But Dojo is not just all about Burgers; their menu features all-things Pork. Only pork patties are served here, and their sides which come with meat also contains of no other meat except Pork. Expect different variants of pork here, ranging from grilled to fried, it gets your heaviest pork cravings satisfied. If you are craving for Kong Bak Pau, go for their highly recommended Komba Bao that features both chunky and fatty braised pork in a fried bun; nothing is as sinful as that. It would be interesting to see how Dojo turn out to be in the long run though, especially being located at an area with no short of fancy eateries like itself.
A year ago, I would have balked at the idea of having lunch on my own in public. Perhaps my solo travel in Seoul some months ago has influenced my perception of dining alone – I actually find it refreshing now and I appreciate the tranquility that comes with spending time with just some good food, a good book, and myself. Today, I'm treating myself to a Japanese Carbonara with an extra onsen egg; the set comes with freshly baked focaccia, a mini salad, and a drink. Loving it.
This burger bar has it all. The build-it-yourself concept gives you full control, and allows you to have as much or as little as you desire. Build the burger of your dreams - extra bacon, extra cheese, portobello mushrooms, caramelised onions, fried egg, and wasabi mayo maybe? If you're not in the mood for building your burger, go for The Fat Basterd ($18). Wash it all down with your choice of beer/ cider/ malt milkshake.
