A huge dollop of durian flesh on top of sago. Would be better if the dessert was colder. But durian was goood π
On first look, you would think, "huh like that only?" But for $2.50, that is one ball of pure durian, no fake flavourings over here. Though there is not much syrup on the ice, the red bean and durian is sweet enough to cover it!
Beat the heat w some ice! You won't be able to miss this dessert shop on the 2nd floor with its long queue. The do a few versions of ice kacang, with soursop/blueberries/ normal etc. I love the fact that they put quite a lot of evaporated milk, which made the ice soft, fluffy and milky. Like a cheaper pat bingsu. Haha!
There's a myriad selection of food at #thepalette ! This place is perfect for gatherings and girls night out, where its a sit down restaurant w a food court setting. Which means you sit down to order food but you can choose whether you want char kway teow or bak kut teh etc.. and sit and chat over cocktails or desserts! I absolutely love the Gula Melaka Banana Parfait with a layer of Gula Melaka bananas on top of chocolate cake!! πππ Ok I better rmb to wake up for work tmr morning! Ice kachang is always great for a hot day. Got this from ηεθ΅ (desert station) at chinatown complex. Love the amount of red bean they have and the soft atap chees. And the sweetness is just nice without being cloyingly sweet.
Sounded like an interesting combi. This is definitely not your typical mango sago. It is literally mango & sago in cold fresh milk! But I must say it's quite a delightful combi.
Love the strong herbal taste in the herbal jelly. A very authentic shop that has been around for the longest time!

So hard to find this nowadays. It's so simple, just ice, coconut milk, honeydew, watermelon & sago. Bliss in my tummy.
What makes a good ice kachang? To me it's about the red beans. If there is lots of red beans and it's well cooked, then it's a good bowl of ice kachang! Have some ice kachang against the haze! π·
