Mon Bijou also has a selection of cakes that appealed in looks and tastes. This D28 Durian Slice Cake ($8.80) is recently introduced, that looked similar to a mille crepe. Being one of the earliest cafe to open around Bukit Merah, Butterscotch started off selling bakes and then expanded to mains! The raspberry and chocolate are flavourful, thought it could have been more dense!
The Tomato & Raspberry Cheesecake ($7+) is part of their Asian Cheesecakes series that comes with a layer of tomato with cheese stacked on top of a layer with raspberry that comes with a digestive base. The cheesecake is creamy, slightly sweet and rather rich in taste.
This Kinabaru ($8.80+) is a layered coconut mousse cake with a passionfruit centre that are both contending in flavour and softness as well as it melts in your mouth!
Les Patisseries also offer a wide selection of cakes. Shown here are the Fraisier ($5.50) and the Tiramisu ($7). The Fraisier is a French strawberry shortcake with a layer of sliced strawberry with immensely rich cream and topped with a strawberry. The Tiramisu had a strong coffee taste amidst the rich mascarpone cheese.
