Hawker Food
Look no further. This unassuming stall hidden at a corner of a coffee shop along Neil road sells the most amazing roast meat. Not only is it tasty, it is damb bloody value for money. Tip: Always ask for more sauce.
One of the best stalls in singapore serving fish soup, teochew style. Soup is clear with no distinct taste of msg. Fish slices are thick. For $5 you get a decent protein packed meal. Tip: Stall owner taking your order can be quite a Nazi. Ensure you communicate clearly and swiftly when giving her your orders. Avoid crowd by starting to queue at 11.30AM.
Originated from Malaysia, Kin Kin Pan Mee is a lot different from the ban mian in Sg. For the dry version you get a poached egg atop the hand made noodles which were chewy. Flavour comes mostly from the ikan bilis and fried onions. Chuck in heaps of their chilli for the extra oomph. Tip: do not order the sea asparagus pan mee. It is not worth it and the sea asparagus taste yucky.
Not my idea of a healthy Yong tau foo meal because almost every item is deep fried. But we can have some cheat days can't we? Topped with a special brown sauce that goes well with the noodles
Located opposite Marine Parade polyclinic. This unpretentious stall serves one of the best wonton noodles. They are only open for breakfast.
$4 a plate. Tasty and moist. Prawns are okay. Tip: Always order individual serving, it's more value for money.
$5 for an amazing juicy chicken cutlet that is not a flattened piece of chicken. Stall is run by an elderly couple who's even selling western food for over 30 years.
