Lunch on the eve of the new year with my sister. An additional order of tamago and seaweed, with less salt, no chicken oil and "hard" noodles makes the best combination thus far.

If only I could have more Fridays like this. Good weather, good company and good food. Once again, Suju did not disappoint. I remain very much in love with the rice served here. This badly cropped picture is proof that I simply couldn't wait to get started on my lunch.

This stall's pretty popular; don't expect them to go the extra mile to provide you with excellent service. It's my second time patronising this stall. The first happened a really long time ago. As with most lor mee, the starchy brown gravy makes the dish look very appetising, but always doesn't taste as good as it looks. My partner and I both agreed, however, that the fried fish was awesome, because it was really crispy. After this meal was done, our mouths stank for all the right reasons - I love my raw garlic.

All I had for lunch today was Little Breakfast Things made up of good ol' muesli soaked in cold, fresh milk and blueberries. The cold, the crunch and natural sweetness made this simple breakfast a very satisfying lunch.

With the addition of corn, too little spinach, ham and cheese. I really really like the curry here, yummy~

Once a popular stall in the food court at the basement of Concorde Hotel (now under renovation), Kim Dae Mun is now located on the second floor in the corner of the hotel's shopping arcade, holding it's own, and keeping up with its success. I came here during lunch hour. It wasn't as crowded as I was expecting it to be, meaning I didn't have to wait for empty seats, but considerably packed. My partner and I shared a bibimbap and hot plate chicken between ourselves. Everything was delicious. I can even gloss over the fact that the chicken (sliced into thin strips) was made of 50% fat. It gave me a very satisfactory meal at lunch and made me a happier person returning to the office, heheh.

Decided on sandwich for lunch today. It was simple and good and I think I really like brioche.

I've been here a couple of times but never done a post about it anywhere on social media... Because I guess this is pretty well-known and kinda over-exposed in a way hahaha. Which is why I really like this app because time doesn't matter, it's really all about the food and the experience of the food and I feel like I can do a post about food at whatever time I want - whenever I think about food. That said, Shiok Maki never fails. It's that smokiness of the torched mayonnaise that fills your whole mouth (read: must eat whole slice at one go) and makes you go mmmfff~ gosh writing about it gives me a huugge craving for this dish... Maybe that's what I've been trying to avoid all this while!!

Was introduced to this place last week - an eat-in dining experience by Old Chang Kee - and had the dry laksa which wasn't too bad. I love my Katong Laksa but this one satisfied the laksa craving in me too. The gravy had a great consistency - neither to dry nor thin, and more importantly, tasted like laksa and not some gravy which left me confused about my order, hehh:)

A wonderfully done sea bass, sweet grilled prawns, leafy greens, decadent olives and an awesome salad dressing make this one of THE MOST ENJOYABLE SALADS I'VE EVER HAD. Smoked salmon... Make way please for the 'new kid on the block'.

Had mixed feelings about this one. Firstly, it tastes good. Not REALLY good, but good. Secondly, I couldn't really taste squid ink? But was more distracted by the hint of cheese in the thick gravy, which I actually kinda like, but I'm not all too sure if there was cheese innit (maybe I'll ask the next time I'm there). Risotto was awesome, not a fan of squid per se (my partner ordered this)... So you'd have to try it to know if you'll like it. No regrets for me. :)

I post occasionally; when I feel I have something to say about the food I eat.
