The Berry Ricotta Hotcake ($14.90) and Peach & Raisin Ricotta Hotcake ($14.90) were just soooo good, with their incredibly fluffy, cake-like texture. Appreciate the sunflower/pumpkin seed mix l which added texture to the fluffiness and the subtle drizzle of lavender sauce on the vanilla bean ice cream. Definitely recommend sharing this, and you'll not regret! #burpple #brunch #breakfast

Finally made it down to taste homegrown #modsin Chef Shen Tan's creations! The Shendol Delights ($10) is a twist on chendol, featuring a coconut #pannacotta that had a rather interesting mouthfeel - more smooth and creamy, rather than the usual wobbly texture. Drizzled with gula melaka, topped with chendol and served with house made red bean ice cream, this was a pretty good interpretation of one of my favourite local desserts! #burpple

And it was sure worth the trip down :) it was a delectable pairing of fig jam French toast drizzled in use-boshi infused honey and topped with fresh fruits. Layered roasted soybean soft serve interspersed with crunchy rice crisps, smooth, puréed azuki and topped with Shirotama and Warabi Mochi coated with kinako powder. Matchaya does an incredible job with its roasted flavours, and with its delicious smokey aroma, Kinako is definitely one of my favourites in their collection! #matchayasg #softserve #burpple

Honey ice cream was sandwiched between two slices of shortcake, which was delightfully crumbly and balanced out the sweetness of the pineapple compote, finished off with a tangy citrus curd. This pretty little thing that tastes as good as it looks. We swooned from the gorgeous Aqua-blue fluffy interior and delicious gula Melaka flavour that exuded fragrant aromas from within. Though this place is inaccessible, it's somewhere I wouldn't mind making the effort to travel to once more.
