Here's my 2nd confinement dish for wifey on her birthday. Grass fed sirloin marinated with 300g of grated Bentong ginger, 2 stalks of chopped lemongrass, fresh ground pepper and sesame oil. Leave marinated beef in fridge for a couple hours before searing the steak on a hot grill pan. Once seared, slice up the steak, and then stir Fry beef and marinated sauce in sauté pan with 5 tablespoon of wincarnis ginger wine..
Here's an alternative to the dead boring confinement food for mums should never be boring especially on a new Mum'S birthday. So, here's my rendition of pork rib stew which should pass all the old wives beliefs...2 bottles of rice wine, half a bowl of wincarnis ginger wine, Chinese mushrooms, carrot, radish, red dates, qi zi and a rack of baby back ribs..and of course, as much hot ginger as u would like...
Here's what a mini bar looks like for a confined mummy.. Surely u don't need anti depressants after this..
