Sweet Treats
Saltiness from the butter with sweetness from the nutella and ice cream paired with crispiness from the exterior of the toast. 😋😋😋 We said it is one of the better toast in Singapore, what abt you?
Chocolate Fondant with caramel core and rum icecream.
Also at The White Rabbit. These lemon tarts were not too bad and they were served with Acacia honey gel ice cream.
Or you can just call it a Potuguese Floating Island.
As much of a vision to behold as it is a gastronomic treat for the palate, @bocasingapore's Floating Island is constructed with a quenelle of beaten egg white "clouds" – meringue with an almost foam-like texture – on a milk custard base dotted with vanilla beans.
Peek into the kitchen and you might just get to see the chef wielding a "wand", spinning a fine, delicate nest of glimmering caramelised sugar, which is placed atop the glass.
The elegant dessert is light on the palate, yet contrastingly rich and comforting in flavour; if this Floating Island had another name, it would be 'paradise'.
Definitely not overrated!
So highly raved!
The former was enjoyable in its masculine sweetness, like an NSF Commando officer with his girlfriend. However, despite its whiffs of alcohol, the cake tasted rather flat and tired, like the same officer after outfield exercise. Coffee: 4/5 Cake: 3.25/5
