You can also opt without any innards, there are other alternatives such as duck meat, egg etc.. The meat and innards were tender, fully soaked in rich flavour of the broth, giving a deep brown colour 😋. The kueh was thick, chewy and rolled up like rice cake. Visited around 5pm on weekday, there was no queue and food was served promptly after order. .

Kway Chap, 粿汁, literally means “cake gravy“ in the Chinese Hokkien dialect, where kway or kueh is the general term for rice noodles. This dish is made from a herbal soy broth with Chinese black vinegar and heavy on the Chinese five spice. There are generally two types of kway chap, one with pork, and the other, with duck.

This dish is served with slices of duck meat, blood pudding, offal, bean curd skin, bean curd puffs and hard-boiled eggs. There are many Kway Chap stalls in Penang but the one on Kimberly Street, which has offal is particularly flavourful and is one of the most famous on the island.

If you're in Penang try this stall which has its own shop house space behind it for seats. It serves an excellent duck and pork ingredients to go with the Penang styled Kway chap. The Kway chap is the thicker version. It's firm with good texture. The ingredients which you can select is well braised and tasty. Really yummy yummy yum yum yum. So here I am... 🎏Restoran Kimberly: Penang’s Legendary Duck Kway Chap. .
It is really one of the Best Kway Chap I've Had. 🍲 The Soup was Divine, the Kway (Rice Noodles) texture was Perfect, the Ingredients like Duck Meat, Intestines & Congealed Blood was Fresh & Clean 👍🏻 I'd actually Fly to Penang just to have a Bowl of this Goodness, that's how much I like it 😋
.
ACAMASTIPS💮: Just get the Big Bowl (RM10/💵S$3.30) it's just RM2 difference from the Small Bowl (RM8/💵S$2.60) There even an option to get it Dry or with Rice. Just get what everyone is having, which is Soup Kway Chap.
Doesn’t hurt to go earlier either since the line gets really long on some evenings 🤗 •

In Penang, or at least at Kimberley street, this Duck Kway Chap 🦆 is like everything-in-one-bowl 🤣 and it was really a good bowl of comfort food during rainy days! 🤗 The duck was both tender and scrumptious while the broth had a light herbal taste to it, making it really addictive! 💯 This was slightly more expensive as compared to its neighbouring street stalls, which I suspect is due to its awareness of its own popularity 🤣🤣🤣 Nevertheless, try it if you’re in the area! 😜
