The dumplings were soft and firm in texture but the soup was too lightly seasoned/bland that I feel it could have been better 》$4
Smooth, springy and chewy egg noodles cooked al-dente with a nice bite. The other ingredients like the wonton were soft and firm while the sweet char siew has some crispiness on the outside. It is their noodles, sambal chilli and sauce/gravy that makes me want to come back when I crave cheap and good wonton noodles 》$4
A very average plate of wanton mee. Noodles were alright for me, but my bf found it too soft/soggy. They coat it in a dark sweet sauce, kinda like Pontian! Charsiew was the super lean kind, I’m okay with it but I can’t go as far as to say I like it.
Didn’t like the wantons at all, filling was kinda mushy, skin was also mushy :( The soup was meh as well, had the alkaline water taste. It did have a constant short-ish queue tho. Maybe if you try the chilli version it’ll be better, but I don’t rly enjoy spicy food so I don’t think I’ll give it a second try - there’s much better food at old airport hawker!
Michelin recommended and I guess the full bowl of ingredients easily explains why. Compared to other wanton noodles, the colours are richer, brighter and I associate this to a way more flavoursome bowl of noods. Love how they’re generous with the zhap, hence serving the noods in a bowl and not the typical plate
Wanton soup ($4)
Price comes in $3.50, $4, $5. Ordered the $4 one.. there were about 8 wantons in the soup. Soup nothing special.. wanton meat filling is not stingy but nothing to rave about as well.
Chicken feet noodles ($4)
Price starts at $3.50, $4, $5. Ordered the $4 one. Came with 3 plump chicken feet which were nicely braised! Noodles were springy and nicely cooked. Overall a good dish!
