Perfect small bites appetizer to kick off dinner. Great crispy texture on the outside to go along with a tasty shrimp. There’s more fish sauce in there than expected, but I enjoy the taste so I didn’t mind at all.
I could’ve easily had all 4 to myself, but of course I had to share 😬
with ikan garam assam fillet, nonya chap chye, itek tim soup
Bad quality food and lousy service... Although the assam gravy is warm but the deep fried fish fillet is cold, dry and taste fishy. Also the chap chye has a sourish taste, the soup contain just bones and no duck meat, and lastly the rice served is cold too. Basically nothing is edible, the restaurant is quite empty during lunch hour.
Ate the babi pongteh set lunch $13.90++ at House of Peranakan at Capitol Piazza. The braised pork was tender. But sambal chilli not spicy at all. Portion is small. Comes with small bowl of salted vegetable soup with chap chye.
