The Mentaiko & Salmon Carbonara ($16.90) is creamy and savoury without being too jelak. The al dente spaghetti and salmon pieces go well with the sauce - I generally like Hoshino’s pasta and this did not disappoint.
The Soufflé Omu Garlic Chicken Carbonara Risotto “Shkmeruli” Style ($17.80) comes with a fluffy soufflé egg on top of rice and grilled chicken that is cooked in a delicious cream sauce. The egg does not flow out when you cut through it, but it is very soft and airy. I’m not a big fan of cream in general, but thankfully cream sauce is not too heavy. The grilled garlic chicken is also very tender and well-seasoned. Definitely exceeded my expectations!
Strawberry French Toast ($12.80)
Very fluffy French toast that paired really well with the sweet strawberries, cream and a side of maple syrup. Brioche bread was really soft but the centre pieces had a bit of an eggy taste which may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
Excellently executed and not too sweet.
What else to say about this man! If you’re coming to capitol area you have to check out the japanese dishes at Hoshino Coffee! Especially now, with their Hokkaido Specials!
I got the mentaiko carbonara and the Beef Omu rice and let me tell you guys, insane flavours and textures all around…😭😭😭 it’s at a reasonable price of around $18 per plate…but you wish you gave them more money for putting heaven right infront of you😰 it was that good hallelujah
Matcha Pancake 🥞($13.50)
so good that its under recommended from them 😍 so bitter and milky aftertaste for matcha pancake. I really like their pancake is not fluffy and not that hard to cut into half.
