My favourite bibimbap in Singapore (or rather the only one I’ve tried) because of their amazing sauce, and generous portions of beef and melted cheese 😋
Fancy an authentic Korean restaurant for lunch? Hantol is one that gives you the fix you need, but hungry lunch crowds may be disappointed at the portion of the food.
The line gets long at 12pm, so come early to get your food served quickly! Note that the staffs are always in the hurry to chase you off - this place might not be suitable for chatting too since tables are placed very closely to each other.
We had a tummy warming sundae soup (beef, and pork) and were both very delicious! It’s not spicy to me (as a xiaola mala person), so I can safely say those who fear spicy food can try this with no fear! The soup is more on the sweet side.
Purple Korean rice was also served here, along with 3 (pathetically tiny) side dishes. Better than nothing I guess.
Request for barley tea and be surprised with an insanely small cup being charged at 50c 🤭
This is my favourite Korean food place!! I love their hot stone bibimbap (~$16) and I recently decided to try their kimchi fried rice with cheese (~$15). This place is run by Koreans and their food is really good and value for money because of the sides and portion size! Would come back again if I’m working around the area, pity I’m further now.
Be greeted by friendly home-grown Koreans and a casual dining area. Spotted many single diners happily indulging in their affordable lunch sets. From bentos 🍱 to jajangmyeon🍝. Whilst most people would be happy to tuck into their prettily-arranged bentos, I dived right into their JAJANGMYEON. And there couldn't have been a better choice made. The noodles were the right consistency and the black bean sauce was neither too thick or sticky like some places serve (I wouldn't say which). This is what I call authentic. Join me as I continue to uncover more eateries in CBD after the closure of golden shoe...
This place looks cosy and the waiter/waitress seem friendly! So I tried this bento which costs $12.90 before service charge! I think it tasted fantastic! And it's very filling too as you are served with many different side dishes! Definitely value for money! Hmmm but I'm not sure if the food contains slightly too much msg? Because I was quite thirsty after the meal 🤔🤔
This was so colourful, delicious and healthy-tasting! I absolutely loved it haha. The rice is the healthy purple kind and there was quite a wide variety of side dishes accompanying my spicy pork, giving different flavours to the dish. The restaurant wasn't very crowded too, despite it being peak hours in the CBD so it's a rather good place to beat the lunch crowd :)
