still one of the best mala xiang guo out there - always consistent, with a perfect balance of spice (辣) and numbing sensation (麻). (plus you won’t even realise it’s vegetarian) i also love how they have a wide variety of ingredients for you to pick from, from fresh vegetables to mock meats and a variety of mushrooms.

@greenonearthsg’s mlxg rendition is seriously one of our favourite. perfect to curb that mala craving when it hits. 🙌🏻 my usual mala ingredient includes: broccoli, instant noodles, lotus root, mushrooms & beancurd skin!

Soft and crispy fried man tou dipped with their condense milk 😋👍 restaurant is nice and comfy

Mala here goes for $3 per 100g. I’m actually not a very big fan of mala because I want to taste my food and not have it marred by the numbness and spiciness :p So I haven’t had a lot of mala to properly comment on it.

Found this pretty decent! We got the 小辣, it was manageably 麻 and 辣. The peanuts were crunchy, the ingredients - taupok, taukee, potatoes, shimeiji & lion’s mane mushrooms, veg, noodles were tasty. I particularly enjoyed the potatoes & lion’s mane mushrooms! There was an oil pool at the bottom of the bowl tho.

Will be back to try their 麻辣不要辣! They also have vegetarian zichar dishes that I wouldn’t mind trying.

Tried something new during our most recent visit to Green on Earth, the Ten Herbal Soup was one of the daily specials. It was strong of herbal notes though a touch sweeter than I would have liked. Would be nice to more a little more variety of ingredients other than mock meat chunks.

Saw a few posts about this on Burpple so decided to pay a visit.

Not many places in Singapore that sell mala hotpot solely for vegetarian unlike this place. Even without the real meat, I could say the taste still as good as those famous one.

This is seriously one solid bowl of 麻辣香锅, better than so many famous shops out there. Can’t believe it can be so fragrant and tasty without a single garlic or meat jus (yes, this is vegetarian mala!) The maggie mie is a bit thin & soft to my liking but the rest of the ingredients make up for it. Mock meats are surprisingly good as well. If only they open a stall closer to my house- this will be a staple!
