Dropped by Souperb for a hearty, homely meal and was pleasantly impressed. The pear pork ribs soup was warm, clean-tasting and subtly sweet from the pear and white fungus.
The minced bean paste steamed fish was impeccably done. Tender, flaky and melt-in-your-mouth, with a savoury bean paste sauce that paired perfectly with the delicate fish.
The steamed vegetables were simple but spot-on ā fresh, crisp and lightly seasoned with soy sauce, finished with a sprinkle of fragrant fried shallots.
Despite the long queue, food was served quickly after ordering. A solid go-to for an affordable, fuss-free and comforting meal.

Gambas Al Ajillo is a classic must order tapas in any Spanish restaurant that features sautƩed prawns with garlic, chilli and extra virgin olive oil served hot.
Tapas24 serves a decent rendition of this classic dish. The shrimps were fleshy and juicy. However, the olive oil was lacking in garlic flavours and tasted rather flat. It was surprisingly my least favourite dish of the night.
The northwestern Spanish region of Galica is most famous for Pulpo Gallego, a tapas made of octopus. Traditionally the octopus is boiled and topped with olive oil, pimentĆ³n, and salt.
Tapas 24 grills their Galican octopus instead. I love how the octopus is crisp on the outside and yet juicy and tender on the inside. The mildly salty flavour of the octopus pairs beautifully with creamy and earthy tones of the potato mash and the floral and zesty notes of the chimichurri sauce.
This is personally my favourite dish of the night!
Sushi muni is one of the most affordable omakase experiences you can get in sg! My favourites were definitely the Amberjack with citrus pepper dressing, makimono chopped tuna belly (they chop it up right in front of you and you can see the delicious maki being made on the spot) and the chawanmushi was great as well.
Capitol isnāt just a place to eat and drinkāitās a whole vibe. The fusion cocktails are super creative, with concepts Iāve honestly never seen anywhere else.
I had the Summer Fling, which was wildāin the best way. It starts off as an āedibleā icy cocktail and slowly melts into a drinkable one. The textures were really fun, and the taste was light, refreshing, and just right. Itās inspired by a Taiwanese iced jelly dessert, and it totally nails that cool, nostalgic feel. Plus, the dry ice smoke and plating made it look amazing.
Service was great tooāour waiter explained the menu really well, especially all the unique cocktails (which made it even harder to pick just one). Definitely coming back to try more.
If youāre into fun, out-of-the-box drinks and a full-on dining experience, this place is a must.
We went for dinner and ordered the Claypot prawn noodle dry & Hokkien Mee along with the Har Cheong Gai & some ngoh hiang. The food was so good, both the noodles had such robust prawn flavours. Such a strong and unique taste that you can't get elsewhere. Would definitely visit again.
I had an amazing experience at Hopscotch. The vibes were chill and the food definitely did not disappoint! The drinks were good & super unique. Definitely worth a visit
Happened to chance upon this restaurant while strolling along Tanjong Katong road. The outside sitting was nice and the inside sitting was cosy. We were greeted by their friendly staff.
I placed order for the lobster bisque bliss with angel hair. This is a luxury on a plate that is sure to impress. The lobster bisque is rich and with the angel hair, the neutral flavor won't overpower the lobster bisque š¦.
We also tried the kopi butter banana treat dessert. I love the coconut sorbet that paired heavenly with the banana cake. The kopi butter is also smooth and creamy.
Looking for a unique cuisine, try this place with it's hainanese and western fusion menu that will tease your taste buds.
Super tender braised pork in flavourful shrimp soup. Love the sides too! A tat salty as like most ramen broth, very friendly staff!
A perfect late-night supper over piping hot Teochew porridge at reasonable prices. I particularly liked the braised duck for its strong flavour of braise sauce which goes really well with a bowl of porridge. Other dishes I tried are preserved mustard greens, okra and lala that were cooked with homely flavours ć$13
