Ever since my favourite noodles stall moved out of this coffee shop, I don't really frequent it anymore. However, today's pleasant surprise came in the front of Duck Noodles ($6 with duck drumstick) from Master Choy Roasted Delight (#01-15).
The duck drumstick is a top-up from the regular duck meat, & was served without the bone upon my request. Service was friendly & with a smile.
This isn't the best plate of duck noodles out there, but it is good enough for me to return, especially since my office is nearby. The meat is tender & in sufficient quantity. The mee kia still has a spring to it, albeit oily. The sauce it is tossed in is quite fragrant as well.
Lasy but certainly not least, I also like that they accept FavePay here. I'm all for cashless transactions, & I'm glad to get 5% of FavePay rebates here. #auntie

Rainy weather calls for laksa! This bowl of laksa ($3.50) isn't crazy coconutty, has perfectly cooked hum (optional), & the tau kee remains firm even after soaking in the laksa soup. The spice level is just nice for someone like me who eats mild-spicy on occasion. Help yourselves to the spring onions & shallots at the stall - you can put as much as you want.
Can't say what makes an amazing bowl of laksa, but I am impressed with this & I definitely want to eat it again π
ιΈ‘δΈζ²³η² Shredded Chicken Hor Fun ($3.50)
Tender & clean chicken; sauce wasn't too salty. Hor Fun was silky smooth. I'd order this again.
Fun Fact: This stall has Char Siew hanging on display but you cannot order char siew rice/noodles, or add Char Siew on to whatever dish you order. Char Siew is ONLY served with wanton noodles as a default. If you want Char Siew rice, go to Johnson Duck 2 stalls down. Yes, this is the logic of the stall owner - I've heard it twice already. #strange

Dumpling Noodles ($3.50)
Wish there were more meat in the dumplings... But it's yummy.
Johnson Duck Noodles ($4.00) - pretty yummy, noodles are very Q. π For the price conscious, Chicken Rice goes for half the price at $2.
