This was an enjoyable and unique dish because it was one of the rare mains where a protein wasn't the focus of the dish, instead the star of the dish was the seasonal black ttruffle. This dish really showcased their nutty flavour fully because the portion of the fungus was incredible. Its hard to tell from the photos but there were around 4-5 layers of generously sliced truffles piled on top of thin layers of mashed potatoes and braised oxtail meat. This was backed up by a deep, flavorful black truffle sauce that complimented the ultra tender oxtail meal and creamy mash. Luxurious, comforting and overall, a very good winter dish 😋
