Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh is now opened at Raffles City Shopping Centre. Nestled in a corner at B1 where Bangkok Jam used to be, Ya Hua has one of the most extensive menu for a BKT eatery and Teochew-style BKT fans would love the light yet ultra peppery soup.

Many often order rice to go along with BKT but at Ya Hua, the Mee Sua ($2.50) is a must-try. Mee Sua absorbs the essence of the soup and became so tasty, we just slurpped it all up. Do be cautioned that mee sua expands and takes up much stomach space so it's a good time to share share. 😊

We also ordered the Sliced Pork Soup ($7), Pork Ribs Soup ($7.70), and classics like Steamed Egg ($5.80) and Fried Prawn Roll ($7.80). Great news for ladies as the ribs are served boneless! So soft and tender that ah gong and ah ma will have no problems eating them. Do order the Steamed Egg as it was so silky smooth, the consistency was close to tau huay! 😘
