Fragrant, fluffy chicken rice with a distinct ginger aroma, topped with a standard portion of bone-in chicken thigh meat, medium-cut char siew slices, and a few pieces of crunchy cucumber, then finished with a ladle of savoury sauce.

I liked the rice as the portion was about 1.2 times larger than a standard bowl, likely due to the stall serving to the hard labour workforce in the area. The gingery note was pleasant and didn't overpower the essence of chicken rice, and as a ginger fan (if you've seen me eat before, you’d know), I approve.

However, the meat and char siew were rather average. While the chicken skin was smooth, the meat was slightly chewy and not quite tender enough. The char siew was also on the drier side.

That being said, I don’t think you would specifically make your way down here just for this unless you happen to have business in the area.
