🍴Blue Ginger opened their second outlet at Great World City and we thought to give it a try since there was 1-1 burpple vouchers (applicable for vegetables, meats, and starters). Overall, we thought that the dishes were a little oily and all the meats (chicken, pork, beef) were quite tough and chewy, but the sauces were decently good. Dark horse of the meal was the free flow tangy achar!

If we had to rank the proteins, we would say: first, the babi pongtay with its savoury yet slightly sweet and overall moreish sauce. Second, the buah keluak pieces were pretty big and stewed well, although the sauce lacked depth. The beef rendang was the least impressive - the sauce was quite lemak, particularly oily, and could do with punchier spices for added complexity.

The chap chye was soft and flavoursome enough - pretty good rendition as a compliment to the other dishes.
