Unlike some other shakshouka renditions I’ve had that had flavours mostly dominated by sweeter tomatoes/ketchup, the version here had a much better balance using a spicy garlic tomato sauce base with cumin. There’s bell peppers, onions, diced tomatoes and eggs made together with a choice of beef meatballs or lamb rissoles, served with flat bread. Pleasantly surprised by the lamb rissoles here, they were well-textured and not gamy. Flat breads were a tiny bit oily, but had a great crunch and paired well. This dish is part of their Around-The-World menu that’s available on weekends for brunch between 11.30am to 4pm.

Thank you @supplydemandorchard for having us and @marque.sg & @cafehoppingkids for the invite! ✨
