My daughter, who really loves onigiri (Japanese rice ball), could not help but give this new stall at Wisma Atria a second look.

Samurice carefully selects ingredients, such as rice, seaweed and salt, from Japan. The rice, which comes from Niigata, Hokkaido and Akita, was indeed delicious. My favourite was the one with beef, which was priced higher at $5. The others we tried were roasted salmon, teriyaki salmon, tuna mayo and salmon wakame seaweed, all priced at $3 each.

What was a little disappointing was that the seaweed was soggy. It should have been sealed separately from the rice to keep it crisp.
