House of MU, which has been serving excellent Josper-grilled meats, is launching a 3 course Christmas menu. But you'll be getting more than 3 dishes, because the main course and dessert course are actually meat platters and dessert platters respectively.
🔸
For starters, choose between the
Angel Hair Pasta with Pan-fried Scallops (+$8 supplement, cover photo) which I personally recommend as it feels like a cold truffled angel hair pasta; the Smoked Salmon & Avocado Salad (second photo); or Caesar Salad with Roquefort & Dried Cranberries (3rd photo).
🔸
The highlight and crowd pleaser would be the "X-MU-S Platter" consisting of their famed Josper-grilled meats, including lamb, turkey breast, honey glazed ham, smoked bratwurst, pork tenderloin, prime ribeye and tiger prawns served with mustard, black pepper and cranberry sauce.
🔸
To end of the 3 course meal is a large "MU Dessert Platter" with slices of xmas log cake, brandied fruit cake, homemade vanilla ice-cream and macarons.

This meat platter consists of Josper oven grilled lamb, roasted chicken topped with mushroom cream sauce, US pork tenderloin, smoked cheese sausage, roasted egg plant and baby potatoes, served with black pepper sauce. There is also an option of topping up $32 for 300 grams of US Black Angus ribeye steak, accompanied by bearnaise sauce.

The platter is divine. The lamb is notably more outstanding as it is not gamey or too tough to chew, as many lamb dishes tend to turn out. The beef is slightly charred on the outside and cooked to a perfect medium-rare doneness. Even the Pork Tenderloin and Chicken Breast has managed to retain a thorough tenderness with a pinkish centre. I was blown away!

Made up with an assortment of mini desserts including an assortment of macaron, creme brulee, bittersweet chocolate ice-cream, oreo cake with hazelnut cream, raspberry granita and frozen peanut butter popsicle, the dessert platter had my inner child screaming with excitement. Out of so many desserts, my favourite was torn between two – the bittersweet chocolate ice-cream and the raspberry granita. Refreshing and tangy, the raspberry granita added balance to the overly sweet platter. The touch of the popping candies in the granitas was a pleasant surprise and brought me back to my childhood.

Living up to its name, the platter has MUnstrous portions of different meat variety – Josper-grilled prime cuts of ribeye steak with bearnaise sauce, chicken, US pork tenderloin, grilled lamb, smoked cheese sausage. It is served along with roasted vegetables and baby potatoes, complemented with black pepper sauce. I love such platters because it encourages communal dining and there is bound to be something for everyone. If you have not heard of Josper oven, go google it. There is a reason why chefs love Josper oven. The meats and seafood cooked in a Josper oven results in unparalleled taste and texture that are succulent and moist. The platters are available in sizes suitable for 2 pax and 4 to 5 pax.
.
MUnster Platter (for 4 pax to share) at S$138.00.

MU’s MUnster Platter is a huge board of meats that feeds 3-4 pax - grilled beef, lamb rack, roasted chicken, duck breast, pork, cheese sausage, baby potatoes, roasted vegetables and sauces. There’s also a platter for 2 at $78 that comes without beef. To be honest I thought the grilled vegetables were my favourite parts of the platter, though I also liked the tender roasted chicken with its concentrated mushroom sauce topping.
Thank you @houseofmusg for having us and @burpple for the invite! ✨
The MUnster platter is a feast for meat lovers who are looking satisfy their carnivorous appetite. Grilled steak, herb cheese sausages, roasted chicken topped with cheese, medium rare lamb chops plus some roasted vegetables and potatoes. The rosemary was blowtorched upon serving, letting the whiff of rosemary fill your nostrils and soak into the meat before the feast began. The chicken remained tender and juicy and I love the burst of flavours from the roasted vegetables. The blackpepper sauce was more savoury than peppery but I enjoyed dipping the meat into it!
My eyes popped out when I saw this meat platter.

Ribeye, sausages, duck, chicken, lamb, sweetcorn, eggplants and baby potatoes. Josper grilled. The aroma was itself quite tantalising. The meats had a distinct smoky aftertone. Simple marinated. More flavors released when the sprigs of thyme and rosemary were torched over the meats. A mini mention of the baby potatoes. Soft tender with a slight umaminess.

A platter for four but could feed six. This platter truly brought out the carnivore in me... or should I say "meatgasm"!
