The queues for Sin Chew Satay Bee Hoon are insane! Managed to get to the store before they opened and there was already a queue. The ingredients used are super fresh and we rlly love the nutty sauce so much. Worth the queue!
Still my all time favourite place for Satay Bee Hoon. 20 years never change π

Bee Hoon with gravy of peanut sauce that not too jelak ,tau pok, pork slices, prawn and cuttlefish..
π°$6
πSin Chew Satay Bee Hoon.
51 Upper Bukit Timah Rd, #02-162.
Ordered $5 (minimum $4) as I was hungry and it clearly didn't disappoint me. The lean pork, cockles and prawn are fresh and the satay sauce is not those that are thick which can caused jelat and it can be addictive.
This stall has been featured in blog such as Thesmartlocal and television show. Forgot to take a picture of it so I'm using the picture I found online.
Sauce is very thick, rich and tasty! Generous with ingredients! It's one of the oldest stalls in the food centre.
Their Satay Bee Hoon ($4) was doused in sliced pork, prawns, cuttlefish and tau pok along with a generous portion of bee hoon noodles and satay sauce! Their Cuttlefish Kang Kong ($4) was made up of loads of vegetables including carrot, kang kong, bean sprouts, and cucumber, as well as chopped cuttlefish.

Pull up the beehoon and soft strands of white emerges from peanut gravy, picking up the creamy thick consistency well. So smooth on your tongue, it's gentle on satay spice and the fragrance of nuts with virtually no oil. More savoury than sweet, light on the heat, it carries notes of curry, giving you deep umami without being cloying. Take it in with the soft chew of cured cuttlefish, a slice of lean pork or their succulent prawns and cockles, fresh and cooked pink. Pair your mouthful with crunchy beansprouts and Kang Kong or tau pok that top it off.

You know Sin Chew Satay Bee Hoon #02-162 ($6 large) is a must when it opens only four days a week and closes once ingredients are up. You'll spot the queue before you find it!

This elusive stall is only open four times a week and closes when it runs out of ingredients. Catch it open, and you'll find yourself waiting in line for at least 15 minutes, but it's worth it. There are only two items on the menu β Satay Bee Hoon (from $4) that comes with peanut gravy, and Cuttlefish Kang Kong (from $4) that comes with a sweet sauce. Tastemaker Zhihui Lim likes how the creamy peanut sauce in the Satay Bee Hoon is more "savoury than sweet, nutty and has a good balance of spice". She recommends this to those who can't take spice too well. Tastemaker Marc T, however, finds the spice level of the satay bee hoon a little too gentle for him but he likes the use of fresh ingredients like the prawns, cuttlefish, sliced lean pork, tau pok and kang kong.
Avg Price: $5 per person

3.5 munchies: Rice vermicelli cooked firm to the bite, drenched with sweet-savoury peanut gravy. The spice level of the sauce too gentle for me, though. Otherwise, I liked the thick consistency of the gravy that clung on to the bee hoon as well as the fresh ingredients including prawns, cuttlefish, sliced lean pork, tau pok, and kang kong. #BurppleBTFC
