Pumpkin and yam pureed together which was inspired by the local orh nee (yam) with gingko nuts imbedded in it. The texture is smooth enough. The natural sweetness was not evident. 🔹🔹
I was slightly disappointed and wished that it was either a yam or a pumpkin pudding but not married together. But it is just me and my fussy tastebuds. Maybe you might like it?? The mixture of both pumpkin and yam resulted in a creamy combination of coconut cream with a very rich yam taste that balances off with the pumpkin! It comes topped with gingko nuts and aloe vera that makes this more enjoyable to have!

Located just across from Peranakan Khek on Cavan road, the industrial chic space exudes a laid-back vibe with bare brick walls and wiry lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling. The long communal tables that can easily accommodate groups of four to 12 are a godsend! There are seven East-meets-West mains here, of which the hearty Signature Crispy Fried Chicken ($16) is a clear winner in our books. Juicy, moist and flavourful chicken meat — what more could you ask for? End your meal with the Chilled Pumpkin Yam Puree ($8). It is smooth, creamy and filled with aloe and yam bits!

The dessert to go for at The.Twenty.Cavan if you prefer something more Chinese — this is pretty much to my liking especially because it's so similar to Yam Paste. Expect in to be a little less thick than the usual Orh Nee, but it was nice to have bits of yam and Aloe Vera to bite on that gives it a little texture. At $7, the portion is best to be shared between two.
