It’s been two years since this Aussie cafe opened in KL, and they’re still pulling in the crowds, especially on weekends. Asian-Western flavours reign supreme, like in the French Lady (RM26) that melds raspberry cream, coconut jam and black sesame paste atop fluffy brioche toast. Meat eaters, dive straight for the bestselling Mr. Terry Benedict (RM29) featuring uber tender 24-hour braised beef. Don’t miss out on a good pick-me-up either — the Magic (RM11) is a smooth drink of double ristretto topped with milk.

24 hour braised beef cheeks in black peppercorn, charred cauliflower, crispy diced potatoes and two poached eggs on toast drenched in hollandaise. This was an absolute winner! The meat was tender and flavourful, perfectly runny poached eggs and I loved the charred cauliflower.
Finally made our way here @breakfastthieveskl after talking about it for months! Come as early as 9am to chill and enjoy a wonderful Saturday with my favourite woman @liyeen !

❤️ the presentation... and 💋 the taste too! .
Something different today ... and brunch is not just about big breakfast and egg Benedict anymore!
Yuzu hollandaise eggs benedict with braised beef cheek at this new hidden gem
Hailing from Melbourne, the Breakfast Thieves opens to APW's Paper Plates with a dashing menu of morning feed. Come with your smartphones ready, as the locale's use of marble, glass and wood renders it highly photogenic, like its food. Sweet tooths will find a great companion in My French Lady (RM26), fluffy French toast served with the triumphant combination of fruit and chocolate components. Meanwhile, the bolder Mr. Terry Benedict (RM29) features delicious beef cheeks, tender from a 24-hour braise, in their version of eggs Benedict with rosti and fried cauliflower garnishing. Brunch here is dazzling and quite costly, so reserve this spot for days that warrant extravagance!
Avg Price: RM40

I'm usually not one to be caught off guard but Breakfast Thieves stole my heart at first visit.
Glasshouse-like exteriors, industrialised wood and steel – it was a spontaneous decision to drop by this Melbourne original cafe after hearing so much hype about it. Be prepared to get in line for a table (averagely 20minutes) but if you don't mind Malaysia's climate/smoking section, I got myself an outdoor seating almost instantly.
Fancy a tasteful Eggs Benedict to start your day with? Mr. Terry Benedict and a pot of Lemon Ginger Mint tea (pictured above, RM29, RM10) made great companions though it wasn't long till they ended up in my tummy. The beef cheek, braised for 24 hours were tender and the mixture of strong flavours consisting of sweet (Honey Apple compote), salty (cauliflower) and sour (Yuzu-Hollandaise sauce) complimented each other perfectly.
☺ Earlier today at the much talked about brunch hotspot, Breakfast Thieves. The My French Lady (RM26) came colorfully plated with cubes of French toast, on a pool of strawberry and thyme sauce. Around it, salted dark chocolate soil, lemon curd, raspberry cream and mixed sesame shards. This was delicious - a queen; a winner - portion came meager however. The Mr. Terry Benedict (RM29) was equally enjoyable, though I felt that it was lacking in that little something. The glistening, tender chunks of 24-hour braised beef cheeks was the highlight of the dish.
