Also known as Australian coffee at certain shops. Like other Australian coffees I’ve had, this is a tad too sweet. But because it has a scoop of ice-cream, its a perfect drink on a hot sunny day.

This is RM16.

The cake was more dense than expected. Also a bit on the dry side. Definitely tasted better.

This is around RM8.50. Lost the receipt and can’t remember the price.

From the same team behind Pokok, Daun is the chic sibling offering baked goods, cakes and coffee. The space is made for the 'gram – think clean white walls, hanging plants and rattan furniture. The selection of cake flavours are inspired by Malaysian delights, as seen in the Apam Balik Cake (RM15) and toothsome Sirap Bandung Cake (RM15). For simpler flavours, have a slice of buttery Lemon Poppy Seed Cake Loaf (RM6) drizzled with a sweet lemon glaze. Pair the desserts with a velvety cup of Flat White (RM9) and you're set for a chill afternoon! Pro tip: Find Daun on the second floor of MAHSA Avenue, located within the premises of KEDAI, an artisanal marketplace.

Tbh, it sounds better than it tasted. While the texture of the cake was dry, it gave off very little lemon flavour. A bit too sweet as well.

A non-caffeinated option at this new pretty cafe by the folks of Pokok. The colour comes from the beetroot powder, and is further mixed with cinnamon and honey. It’s a little too sweet for me.

They serve savoury croissants!
Not gonna lie, I was expecting sliced chicken sandwiched between the pastry. The mashed up chicken almost tricked me into thinking they had my order wrong and gave me a tuna sandwich instead.
Seasoning was fine, but can’t help but wonder if they mistaken their salt for pepper because it could definitely use some cutting down on the saltiness.
