One of the best Kway Chap in Singapore. Their is the thicker type of Kway but no less silky and they don’t break every time you stir the bowl. Chilli could be better if there’s more heat in it cause right now it’s just savoury and tangy. Like the duck meat which has a hint of sesame oil in it.
Queue is not that long, about 14 customers at any one time. But the ladies are slower due to age and so please be patient. Also a tad more expensive than others but in my opinion, it’s worth the money.
There's 2 kway chap store here at Holland drive market. Decided to go with cheng heng as the other shop was closed.
The queue was quite long on a Sunday morning, but the queue was definitely worth it, it one of the better kway chap I had.
The braised meat was also tender and so flavourful.
Ordering from this stall is a pleasant experience, as you will be greeted by the 2 aunties that were very friendly and courteous. The Kway Chap here is a popular one, and pretty cheap as well. The Kway itself were not soggy or overcooked at all, something I really appreciated as I could hold the whole piece without it breaking apart immediately. The portion given was pretty sizable and the pork intestines were well cleaned! 4 pax amounted to $26 with the addition of duck meat.
Simple looking stall with no frills and advertising on the front. Was not aware this stall till i saw someone posted about this. Glad to try it. The food was braised nicely with good flavors. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Kway chap.
Kway Chap (a set - $3.50) I felt that Kwap Chap ingredient quite having strong braised taste and didn't need to dip into chili sauce. I felt that it's one of strong taste for Kwap Chap.
Came to the hawker to try my luck this morning, as my previous visit here, this stall was closed. Ordered my favourite dish - Pig Skin, to assess if I would like their style of cooking. Portion was decent, only that certain skins were soft with a bite, while certain pieces were a little rubbery. In comparison, I prefer Blanco Court’s version, which is just 2 stalls away from this.
