Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
[CLARKE QUAY, SINGAPORE] It's quite rare to see places offer houjicha related drinks, and @staywithkinn has a limited time houjicha drinks menu till the end of Sep 2025! We tried all the drinks from the menu and here's what we felt about it:
Houjicha Coconut 🥥 ($7) - this was so refreshing! The earthy notes from the houjicha complemented well with the tropical taste of the coconut water. The sweetness of the coconut water nullified the bitterness of the houjicha abit, making it perfect for a summer drink!
Houjicha Harmony 🍵($7) - this was interesting, as instead of sugar syrup, they added longan red date syrup. You don't taste the latter predominantly, but it does add a slight herbal aftertaste to the houjicha. This is sweeter and richer than the houjicha coconut!
Houjicha Milo 🍫 ($7.50) - ok this may cross some lines for some people 😂 I feel like it's way too rich for me, but interestingly the houjicha taste is nullified, and instead you get a really malty drink.
Savoury Shrimp Crossiant 🥐 ($7) - this was SO crispy and flaky! The filling is very interesting, as it is a sweet savoury sauce made with dried chilli shrimp that added a good kick. Honestly quite addictive but definitely a pastry to share between 2!
Though there are limited seats, the cafe has a nice chill vibe (colour scheme matches the houjicha drinks 🤯), with a very nice perfume (due to the space shared with the hotel lobby). If you want to try, please do so soon this month! Thank you for inviting @staywithkinn !
