First of all, when you enter such restaurants, try to ask the staff whether is there any lunch special for the day and most of the time there will be a cheaper meal (I always realize that after ordering the wrong one). Char siew in Hong Kong are all thick and juicy, so good that just a few pieces of char siew and some veggie gives you a very good lunch!
This is a must try in wintry HK. Simple yet excellently tasty.
